Silas was pacing the room, looking ready to punch something. Probably someone if Dennis was here. His face held anger, and he wouldn’t look at me. Silas was mumbling to himself as he walked from wall to wall. I couldn’t catch what he was saying, but by the tone, I knew it wasn’t good. “Silas, please say something,” I said, terrified about what he would say. I wanted him to talk to me, though. “You’re not to go back there,” he ordered. I was okay with it; I had already determined not to return anyway. “This is why I didn’t want you to go in the first place. You can’t control that stupid mate bond,” he screamed.
