The next few days flew by in a blur. Despite my protests of not wanting to stick around, I was forced to remain in bed until I was healed enough to move.
I still didn’t understand why Lux was going out of his way to do all of this for me, but I didn’t ask questions about it either. After all, in the end, I had absolutely nowhere else to go.
