"Are you sure this is going to work?"
I had just finished discussing my plan with Chris when a sudden burst of noise drifted in through the window.
Walking over, I looked out to try to find out exactly what was going on.
Below, there was a crowd gathered around a figure huddled in on itself and shivering. Instantly, I recognized her as the little thing.
Letting a growl escape me, I rushed out of the room, leaving Chris behind to watch in confusion.
"Lux!" He called out as he began to chase. "What’s going on?"
What was going on? What kind of question was that? Something was seriously wrong with the little thing, and something told me it had to do with the poison rushing through her.
