Chapter 5

"Chase, is this your beautiful mate?"  Summer is trying to smile

"Amy this is my very special best friend Summer.  That is her mate Alpha King Cordell and their daughter Aiko."  Chase is looking at Summer

'It's nice to meet you, Amy."  Summer is  looking at Chase

Cord didn't speak, he looks away

"Chase is a wonderful man, he will treat you good. Do you two mind, if I speak to Chase for one second alone?"  Summer is  still looking at Chase

Growls. "Mine " Cord looks at Chase

"Cord be nice, I'm just going right there."  Summer points close to the bar. As she and Chase walk that way. " I'm glad you found your mate" She is trying to sound sincere.

"Thanks. Are you and Cord good?"   Chase looks at her then at Cord.

Summer looks at Cord. Yeah I guess so. It seems something happened to his phone. When he found it, someone sent him a text. Saying it was me breaking up with him. It's complicated." She looks at Chase,

"Jillian. I bet you it was her."  Chase nods his head.

"Yeah. But I wanted to tell you that I enjoyed our time together. We have to stop how we feel for one another. We can't touch each other again." She shakes her head 

"Kitten, I don't regret anything we have done. I will always love you."  He kisses her on the corner of her lips.

She closes her eyes absorbing his kiss. One tear falls down her cheek. " I will never stop loving you. I don't regret it either. We better get back to our mates. I see Cord is looking at us."

"Amy it's nice to meet you. I'm happy for you both."  She looks at Amy as soon as they reach Cord and her.

Amy didn't say anything. She is looking at Cord.

" Chase thank you for being there for Summer and Aiko." Cord looks at him

"You're welcome. You have a wonderful family Cordell.  Chase is looking at Summer and Aiko.

Cord smiles looking at his mate and daughter. "Yes, I do have a wonderful family. We need to talk to my parents."

Amy and I are going outside to talk." Chase takes her hand.

They walk over to Cord's parents

Cordell smiles at his mother and father. Let me introduce you to your granddaughter Aiko Rielle McMillan. Summer and I are true mates." 

His father looks at Summer.  "Are you two serious? You two are Mates."

" Yes, we are serious."  She nods her head smiling

Lola hugs Summer. " That is wonderful! I always thought you all were. Can I hold my beautiful granddaughter?" She is reaching for Aiko

"She is beautiful just like her mother." Cord smiles at Summer. As he hands Aiko to his mother

"Wait how can you two be Mates? Jillian said she was your Mate." Adam is looking at Cord and Summer confused.

"I have told her to stop lying. When did she tell you that?" Cord looks over at Jullian. She is standing across the room looking at him and Summer.

 "A few minutes ago" His father looks over at Jullian

"Right after we told her we were Mates." Summer is looking at her daughter. "She seems to take to them quickly." She is thinking

"Oh, I get it now.  Son maybe now you can sleep again. I always found that strange when you were growing up. That you couldn't sleep without her." Adam shakes his head 

 My beautiful mate said she didn't sleep much either. Tasmanian, told me a few weeks ago that Aiko was our pup. I thought he was being possessive because of our feeling for you and Raven." Cord rubs his daughter's head. 

"Cordell, are you going to dance with your Luna?"  Jillian asks holding her hand out to him.

"Yes Jillian, your right I should dance with my Luna. Mother, father will you watch Aiko while I dance with my Luna?" He is looking at his parents.

"It will be our honor to watch our grandchild. You two enjoy yourselves. You two have a lot of making up to do."  Adam laughs

Lola is so caught up in her granddaughter.

Cord takes Summers hand leading her to the dance floor. He pulls her closer to him, dancing to old school song by Boys II Men, On Bended Knee. 

He starts singing the song  in her ear and nibbling on it.

"This isn't over with. Not by a long shot."  Jillian yells as she is looking over at Cord and Summer dancing. As she's walking away

"Jillian I'm only going to warn you one time. Leave my son and his mate alone. Don't think about f*****g with my grandbaby. If you do, your whole family will regret it."  Adam points at her.

Later that night after the event and everyone had left. Summer, her mother, Lily, and Cord are sitting in the den.

" Mother tonight was unbelievable. We raised enough money for the kids. Cord is my mate and Chase found his mate too. I'm going to miss him, all the fun we had together."  She is looking in space.

Growls, "Mine." Cord wraps one of  his arms around Summer

"She has always been yours,  Cordell. You claimed her before you two knew what a mate was." Summer's mother said looking at him

He kisses Summer's cheek. "I always knew she was  mine. My wolf did somehow."

"Lily who was that young man you danced with all night?"  Their mother asks

"Baker, he goes to school with me. He is Alpha Long's son." Lily looks at her mother

"I noticed he couldn't keep his eyes off you." Summer said smiling

Lily laughs

"Are you all ready to call it a night?"  Julia is looking around the room at everyone.

"We're right behind you." Summer looks at Aiko as they are walking up the stairs.

She has her head on Cordell's shoulder trying to wake up. "Dada,"

"Yes, princess, daddy is right here. Go back to sleep,"  he said kissing her forehead "Summer, would you mind if I put her to bed tonight."  

They're walking into  Aiko's bedroom. 

"No, I don't mind, she would love it." She kisses the back of their daughter's head

Babygirl, I have been meaning to ask you how did you come up with her name. It's beautiful." Cord is looking at Summer taking their daughter's dress off. 

"Aiko means love. I wanted her to know that when she was conceived it was with love. Rielle means strong, when I first saw her she made me feel stronger."  Summer smiles at him.

"It's a beautiful name. " Cord is kissing their sleeping daughter's head

Cord and Summer walk into their bedroom. Summer goes into the bathroom. When she walks out of the bathroom she stops walking, looking at Cord. She's taking in Cordell's perfect sculptured body. She can't take her eyes off him.

"What do you think? Summer?"  Cord asks. He looks at her. "Summer, did you hear me? He smiles. Because he can feel that she is aroused. Cord is enjoying that she feels that way for him.

"I'm sorry Cord what were you saying? My mind was somewhere else." She looks at him smiling

"I could see it was. You were staring at me. Do you like what you see?" He winks at her

She is still smiling "You always did look good. But now you look really good."

"You have curves in all the right places. But then, you always did. I see your butt has a little more meat on it. " He says while grabbing it. But I like it. Come to bed Babygirl, it been a very long two years without you." He lays down, holding his hand out to her

"Cord, I'm not ready to complete the mating process tonight." Summer takes his hand. lays beside him

"I'm not going anywhere, I'm yours, your mine. Tonight I only want to hold you. I'm hoping you would agree to let me finally mark you. There is something I want to ask you." He kisses her neck

She knew what he wants to ask about. It's about Chase.  But is going to make him ask. "What do you want to ask me Cord?"

"Have you made love to anyone else?" He is playing with her hair

"After I found out I was pregnant I decided to wait for my mate. I knew there was a chance that he might reject me. But I don't regret having our daughter." She's looking at him. 

"Good." He is smelling her hair, taking in her scent.

"You can mark me tonight. Only if I can mark you first. Summer turns to look at him.

"Mark me, baby"  he yells. He turns his head, holding it for her to mark him.

She straddles Cordell. He grabs her breast caressing and flicking my n*****s through his tee-shirt. That she is wearing.  She leans down on his body kissing and sucking on his neck.

'Feels so good Babygirl," he moans.  "I'm yours mark me."

Summer extends her canines, she licks his spot.  She sinks her canines into his neck. Summer retracts her teeth,  licks the puncture closed, "I love you, Cord."
