ALVAH "Can I spend the night at your place tonight?" I inquired of Liam the moment I entered his living room. He nodded and led the way to his room. I was relieved that his parents weren't present because I wasn't sure if I was in the right state of mind to engage in small talk. "Let me guess, things didn't go well at home?" Liam asked, and I nodded. "Yeah, you know me damn too well," I replied as I lay down on his bed, my mind utterly blank. I had no idea what my next steps would be.
