ALMOND I woke up with a pounding headache, squinting my eyes as I tried to make sense of my surroundings. As my eyes adjusted to the dimly lit room, I realized I had no idea where I was. I looked around the room until my eyes eventually rested on the figure lying beside me. He was fast asleep, and one look at his face brought the memories rushing back. I sat in shock, replaying the events of last night over and over in my mind. What had I done? I felt embarrassed and disappointed in myself for letting it happen, but part of me was happy too.
