I was observing every ritual with great interest, I believe marriage is a pure relation, which ties two individuals together for the next seven births. I listened carefully to every promise chanted by the priest and soon the wedding came to an end. Here comes the time where the bride has to bid farewell to her parents and maternal home. This time is known as Bidai in India. The bride’s parents felt the same emotion as they bid farewell to their daughter with their son-in-law and the bride hugged her parents as a gesture of seeking blessings from them for her new life. Bidai is one of the most sentimental outbursts of any wedding across the world.
