A week had passed since Orsa and Leela’s return. I sat with Lucien in the morning as he wolfed down his eggs.
“I can’t believe they found wild chickens in the forest,” he groaned, gratefully.
If there was one thing everyone knew about Lucien, it was that he loved eggs. If he could eat them for every meal, he would. When he finished, he let out a loud burp and grunted with satisfaction. It was good to slowly see him return to his normal ways, I thought, grinning.
