Three days later, and it was time for the ceremony that had been planned for Inez’s pregnancy. When she woke up, it was the happiest that I had ever seen her. She looked like she was about to burst from excitement about what we had always wanted. We had been trying for a child for so long and it just happened this time like a freaking miracle.
