It was new year's day and it was the most amazing time in New York. Everything was decorated and beautiful. There was snow on the streets, snowman in the yards, the Christmas lights were still on the houses, and the Christmas spirit could be felt. She felt amazing, it was one of her favorite times of the year. As the years passed she was alone or with friends for New Year's eve and they would go to Times Square watch the live concerts of the famous musicians or music group, would drink wine, and would see the firework. This year was supposed to be different, she had a husband and a family she knew that this year she will not feel alone and she will celebrate it with him.
