Chapter 4 Dakota pulled out of Chip and scrambled to put on his jeans. He ran from the tent barefoot, following Grayson, who had stormed out. Dodging around huts and people giving him strange looks, he caught up with Grayson and, grabbing him by the arm, spun him around. “Will you tell me what the f**k is going on?” he snapped. “Why are you here? Why aren’t you in St. Louis?” “Why did I find you balls deep in some piece of ass?” Grayson shouted back, wrenching his arm out of Dakota’s grip. “Save it! You’re obviously boinking the colonel, so don’t get sanctimonious on me.” Grayson glanced away and swallowed hard. “I didn’t think I’d ever see you again.” There wasn’t any sadness in his tone from what Dakota could discern. It sounded more like regret. “So you hooked up with the first da
