“Charleeeeennne!” Adeline greeted soon as she saw her sister-in-law outside the airport.
“Adeelineeeee!” Charlene greeted back, rushing towards her sister-in-law and her brother, Diego.
Their flight had just arrived from Thailand. Adeline left her husband while pushing their luggage cart as she hurriedly approached Charlene.
The two happy ladies hugged each other tightly.
“How are you, har-lota?” Adeline asked.
“Doing great, my brother’s b***h,” Charlene answered before squeezing Adeline’s big butt, “Love your hair,” she added, eyeing Adeline’s curly auburn crown.
Squirming from the squeeze, “Stop!” Adeline yelped, “But Thank you, girl,” she added, poking Charlene’s side.
“I’m jealous,” Diego scoffed as he watched his sister and his wife, excitedly clinging and playfully snugging to each other.
Charlene puffed, “Aww… I miss you too, bubba….” She said, breaking her hug from Adeline before embracing her brother.
“How are you, Lil sis?” Diego asked as he hugged back his sister,
“Great! I miss you, guys,” Charlene lowly said.
Adeline rubbed Charlene’s back, “We miss you too. That’s why we are here,” She mumbled,
Breaking the hug, “Well, glad you are here because I have something to tell you,” Charlene looked intently at her two favorite people.
“What is that?” Adeline asked.
Straight-faced, Charlene rubbed her tummy in circles.
Adeline’s eyes widened. Diego skeptically scowled.
“Don’t you f*****g dare!?” Adeline blurted. “Are you?” she asked. Mouth almost dropped on the floor.
It had been three months since Charlene had her eventful one-night-stand. The woman told her about not using protection, and now she was looking seriously at them while rubbing her tummy.
“What is that?” Diego finally asked, eyes averting back and forth to his wife and his sister.
Charlene’s mouth quivered, “I’m hungry!” she said before cracking up loudly.
The people from the arrival area looked at them.
Adeline must’ve thought she was pregnant. Charlene thought as she stared at her sister-in-law.
“I’m just pulling your leg!” she said to surprise Adeline.
“What the hell, Charlene!?” Adeline yelled, smacking her arm.
“Ouch!” Charlene kiddingly complained as she rubbed her arm.
“What the hell is happening?” Diego pried again. He was oblivious to what was happening to the girls.
Charlene clung to her brother’s arm. “Nothing, it’s a girl thing.” She said before winking at Adeline.
“Your sister is an assh*le,” Adeline said to her husband.
The siblings just laughed at Adeline.
The trio left the airport and decided to eat lunch at their favorite Indian restaurant.
“How long are you guys going to stay here?” Charlene asked soon as the waitress left with their orders.
“A week,” Diego answered. “I just need to fix some papers so I could get a better teaching job in Asia.” He added.
“Ohhh…”
“Yup! Same! Plus, we miss you, and it's your brother and I’s birth month. I spoke to Diego, and I told him about celebrating it with you,” Adeline said,
“Awww… that’s so sweet!” Charlene said, “I really missed you guys…” she added, pouting.
Giggling, "Well, you got to celebrate yours with us in return," Adeline said.
"Don't give me an idea!" Charlene said back.
“Well, we will hang out for the whole week here! And maybe convinced you to come with us to Thailand, anyways.” Adeline hinted,
“We shall see! But I am enjoying my job here with Damien. It might take time.” Charlene honestly said,
“How’s the manw*hore?” Adeline kiddingly asked. She knew it since Charlene sometimes gossips her about her womanizer boss.
“Great! Business is expanding as well as his record with women,” Charlene kidded back.
Diego smiled.
“True that, Lil sis,” he agreed. “I’ve heard about his gossips with runaway models,” he added, chuckling.
“Well, all I can say is he’s a great guy and friend. I can’t blame him,” Charlene said."He's a brother from another mother, plus I can't condemn his man-whoreness. He's a total package."
“He’s hot! I agree!” Adeline said, side glimpsing at her husband, “And yummy,” before licking her lower lip.
Charlene cupped her mouth to avoid laughing. She could see her brother’s face change.
“Really? In front of me?” Diego said in jealousy,
Adeline hugged her husband, “Just kidding…” she chuckled, “You're the hottest man I had ever had in my bed,” she said, giving her husband a peck on the lips.
Diego kissed his wife. “Honestly?” he checked.
“Ah, huh..” Adeline replied nodding
Giving them a teasing look, “Then start giving me nephews and nieces now. You love birds,” Charlene butted in.
Adeline looked at Charlene, “Tonight,” she said, winking.
“Well, make sure you won't wake me up,” Charlene teased. "I know how loud you can be!"
“We won’t!” Adeline said, mouth quivering in humiliation, thinking about the old days.
“I don’t trust your loud mouth, bithc,” Charlene bantered,
“I’ll cover her face,” Diego kidded, earning him a poke on his side.
"Bastard!" Adeline said, "Well, just make sure you won't entangle your life with those kinds of men," Adeline advised.
"Hell f*****g no! Not in my book and God!" Charlene gestured her hand as no, "I think a player like him will find someone who would tame him and perhaps give him a freaking lesson about respect with women!"
"I believe you," Diego agreed before winking at his wife.
The three continued their bonding as they ate their lunch. Adeline and Charlene talked about their plans for the whole week.

“Bon Jour! Maximus!” Damien greeted on the phone, “Have you figured out my proposal?” he asked.
Chuckling, “Yes, getting there, buddy, I'm trying to consider what to do.” Max answered.
“How is it going?”
“For some reason, my clubs aren’t doing great,” Max answered as he sat down on his swivel chair.
It had been three months since he decided to sell out one of his less-earning bars. New bars and clubs had been taking over the scene. He would love to do expansion and investments, but he didn’t want to take a risk.
He belonged to a wealthy family, and having a business was only his side job. His mom left him a large amount of fortune when she died, and his dad had a couple of companies in the states.
He was an only child, and his dad had significant shares at Damien Davidson's group of companies. Damien had been convincing him to try it out and help him with the business. For the past few weeks, he was trying to contemplate doing it.
“That’s strange… You’ll bounce back, buddy. Don’t worry,” Damien advised.
“Yeah, weird year. I believe you. I’ll let you know soon, buddy,” Max said.
“I know. I understand. The spot is always open for you. I spoke to Uncle John, and all he needed is your yes.”
“Hell yeah, buddy. He called me last night, but as I said to him, give me more time.”
“Sure, I will, buddy. I need that smart brain of yours, plus I kind of need help dealing with stuff as well. Mom-issue,” Damien said, chuckling.
“I do know, I do know!” Max said as he chuckled.
His cousin had been dealing with his mom. His Aunty Mathilda wanted Damien to settle down soon. Knowing his cousin's antics, he for sure won’t back down to his mom’s pestering request.
“Funny indeed,” Damien huffed, “But yeah, please come home soon. You’ll meet new and beautiful ladies here. Hot and pleasing. Skilled and submissive types. They are here. They’ll find you, buddy.” he tried to sound convincing to his cousin. “Believe me,”
“I have confidence in you,” Max said, chuckling.
“So there you go. I’ll send the private plane once you are ready,”
“I will let you know, buddy,” Max said,
“Au revoir, Max,” Damien bade in his French Accent.
“Bye, Damien,” Max said, smiling as he hung up the phone.
Soon after, he heard knocks on his door.
“Come in!”
Ellie came in with papers in her hands.
“Maxi, these are the transfer papers and documents that you asked for.” She said as she walked towards him.
“Perfect, thanks, Ellie.”
Smiling, “No worries. I hope the employees would be happy to stay with the new owners,” she said.
“I hope so,” Max wished, holding the papers.
The second bar was being sold now, leaving him two more clubs in his hands. After selling the first one, he tried to consider selling the other bars as well. It wasn’t losing money, but he wanted lesser liabilities.
“I shall take my leave,”
Ellie was about to leave when Max called her once again.
“Ellie,”
Turning back, “Oui?”
Propping his finger on his chin, “I won't sell the other two because I want to keep you and the rest of the staff, but I am going to leave it to you….” Max said,
Ellie’s brows furrowed, “quio?” she curiously asked.
“I got to sort some stuff and probably travel before leaving France for another adventure in the states,” Max explained.
“To nous quittes?” Elli puzzlingly asked again. She was surprised to hear her boss was somehow leaving the country.
“No, I am not leaving you yet, not that soon,” Max held.
“Ohh… I understand.” Ellie said, nodding, “Maxi, let us know when Oui?” she added.
“Oui! I will for sure,” Max said as he smiled.
“Got to go,” Ellie said once more.
After Ellie left his office, Max heard his phone ring. Checking it, it was another message from an unknown number.
‘Watch your back,’ the message said.
Chuckling, he blocked the number once more. Threats weren’t new to him.
Most of his scorned ex-girlfriends were still bitter from the breakups, but after Nellie, he tried not to be involved again in a longer flirting and dating arrangement. He goes straight to business. Girls seemed to get attached easily to him, and he didn’t like it.
"f**k off," he muttered, feeling frustrated and overwhelmed. Max dropped his phone on the table and started massaging his temple.
“Freaking hell…” He mumbled. “I need a drink,”
Just when he was about to stand, his phone buzzed for the third time. Checking it, it was Caroline. His f*ck buddy had been gone for a while. She went on a vacation trip to Switzerland.
“Hey, love…” he answered.
“Maximus, make up your mind. You should come to paradise with me,” Caroline said right away.
“Are you still with your parents?” Max asked.
“They went back to Nice. That’s why I am calling you. We have the whole cabin for two weeks,”
Max heaved a deep breath. “Okay, I’ll see you soon,” he said, making up his mind. Maybe a little getaway would ease him. He thought.
“Great, I’ll see you, lover boy,” Caroline bade.
“See you,”
