Jared just stood by and watch his friend consuming bottle after bottle of spirit as it was the night before Ken forced marriage to Fallon. He knew that he should stop Ken from getting drunk on his wedding night but he couldn't bring himself to stop his best friend.
Ken must be feeling numbness because when Annabelle face came into his mind, he couldn't smile as usual, he is being forced to marry somebody that isn't her.
