Chapter 11: Reinforcements and Relax

"Oi oi oi, Hikari boy? Isn't it bad manners to shoot a teacher in the head?" asked the one that apparently was... None other than mister Kirizaki, their Chemistry teacher. 

"Mister teacher?! What is happening!?" shouted Hikari

"As I said... That guy is our benefactor! He was nice enough to tell us where the security was not good enough and prepare the attack plan for us!" said the corrupted leader.

"Tch... You traitor..." said Hikari

"Now, you had us really good until now, human kid... I am sorry that... This is your end..."

--- Just before he was about to be attacked by the corrupted leader, in an attempt to kill Hikari, the atmosphere around them suddenly became way hotter than before.

Magic: Fire Bird

 At a certain person's command, a flaming bird burned the battlefield, taking down to the grave several corrupted, and forcing the corrupted leader to back off a bit, as well as mister Kirizaki to loosen his grip on Hikari. The user of this spell was none other than...

"Mizuki... I told you to run away!" shouted Hikari

"It's alright... After all, if I would've done so, what would have happened to you?" she asked

"Tch... T-Thank you..." he muttered, changing his point of view to the corrupted once again. And now, with even more speed, precision and determination, he started cutting through the incredible amount of corrupted that were present at the scene. The corrupted leader did indeed try to catch Hikari a few times, but this time, Hikari was not focusing on him, and instead, he ignored him because of his defence, attacking all the other minions.

 Afterwards, the corrupted leader realized that there was a certain person that was not as fast, or slippery as Hikari was... After thinking this, he didn't think twice about his next move... He instantly rushed towards Mizuki in an attempt to catch her neck... After all, if she were to be caught, Hikari might give up if she becomes a hostage.

 But up to everyone's surprise, the girl on the battlefield that looked like she didn't really know what she was doing in such a place, managed to fend off the corrupted leader...

Magic: Fire Wall... Magic: Fire Ball

 With this combination of skills, Mizuki defended herself, and also delivered a strong attack towards the corrupted leader, who took it head-on. It didn't do substantial damage to him, but it did indeed affect him. Portions of his face were burned by the fire ball, but more importantly, this attack knocked him back a few metres away from Mizuki.

"We have to stall... How is Hikari...?" she muttered, and then changed her vision towards Hikari who was still fighting by himself with countless corrupted soldiers. Mister Kirizaki was nowhere to be seen, probably running away and abandoning the corrupted squad after being discovered.

 And after a while, Mizuki's plan blossomed...

"Hikari, Mizuki! You are alright!" shouted Dusk from afar, while quickly approaching the scene.

"Dusk... And the others? But how...?" muttered Hikari

"Mizuki called for us!" said Dusk after arriving in the middle of the battlefield, starting to slay corrupted.

 And then, Dusk remembers...

"Mister principal!" shouted Dusk after hearing the ringing of the communication devices.

"Yes, I see..." said the principal, quickly picking up the communication device and answering the call.

"Mizuki here! I report! Hikari is in danger! Too many enemies... Three hundred estimated! One corrupted leader! He told me to run away while he fends them off so I could escape! We are on the Westside, right next to the wall! Waiting for reinforcements!" and then, without anything more, she hangs up.

"We told you that we had to go there..." said Dusk

"Yeah, you're true... Now stop blabbering and rush there... All of you! I will call for the nearest squad to go there!" shouted the principal.

 Then, this is what happened... Dusk, Alex and Fabio arrived at the scene and instantly started decimated the corrupted whose numbers were already shortened by Hikari.

Magic: Shadow Steal... Magic: Shadow Claw

 Fabio managed to install his weapon up a tree, shooting down corrupted, one after the other...

 And after a while, the operation was nearing its success. The only corrupted left was none other than the leader... 

"Hahaha! You impudent fools... Do you really think you can defeat me and my absolute defence?! Thinks twice, you monkeys!" shouted the corrupted leader.

 And then, out of nowhere... He managed to get shotted... Straight in the head, by one magical bullet... Leaving everyone present on the battlefield stare at him while falling, with a dumbfounded expression.

"I-Impossible..."

"Noob... Imagine calling me a monkey... What? Do you hate Wukong or something?" said Fabio from up a tree.

"Nice shot, Fabio!" shouted Dusk, showing him a thumbs up.

"Thanks!"

 After a short while, the other forces arrived at the place where a fierce fight was happening not so long ago... Lead by the principal, were forces made out of nearly one hundred men... This was the estimated number of people needed to defeat the three hundred corrupted. But then, up to the principal's surprise... The five children that were left alone with the corrupted, were having a chatter at the scene, right next to hundreds of corpses...

"I-Impossible... You did actually manage to... Even a corrupted leader?" asked the principal with a completely astonished expression.

"You are kinda late..." said Hikari

"And I hope you are"kinda" prepared to die..." said the principal, just before using Hikari as a chair for the next five minutes.

"Me and my big mouth..." muttered Hikari.

"It's alright now... Everything is taken care of... The problem that we were talking about is..." said Dusk, being then interrupted by Hikari that said from underneath the principal.

"Mister Kirizaki... The Chemistry teacher was with them... I shot him in the head and he instantly regenerated and caught me... After we started murdering them, he ran away somewhere..." explained Hikari.

"Hmm...? May I ask you something before continuing with this?" asked the principal.

"Sure, go ahead..." said Hikari that was freed from the principal's fierce treatment.

"We have only one Chemistry teacher in our school... She is a woman, and her name is not Kirizaki, but Anima..." said the principal

"W-Wait, that's impossible, even we remember that we had lessons with mister Kirizaki! Right Mizuki, Alex?" said Dusk

"Y-Yeah... He was kind of weird though..." said Mizuki

"Oh, that needle-like man? Yeah, I remember..." said Alex.

"Hmm... You said he instantly regenerated...? That would only mean..." said the principal, but he got instantly interrupted by Dusk who continued: "He was an artificially enhanced human... He was a corrupted all along..."

"C-Corrupted?! We lived with a corrupted by our side all this time?!" shouted Fabio

 These words, for some reason, had a negative impact on Dusk, his expression getting sadder as he heard that...

"Yeah... How could he do that... Right?" muttered Dusk

 The principal noticed the weird reaction and situation they were in, so he quickly changed the subject...

"So... Where is miss Anima then?"

"Just think about it... He took her place without ANYONE noticing... This means that he has some impressive ability... I am thinking about hypnosis or something among that class of abilities... So, if he wanted to take her place, he either captured her and hid her, or just killed and disposed of her..." explained Hikari

"Yeah, that sounds like the right idea for him... I will have a team search up for her anyway..." said the principal.

"Well, anyway, I think it's time you get going back to the dorms... I will have these guys clean the mess the corrupted made, so don't worry..." he added.

"T-Thanks..." said Dusk, still a bit sad.

 Hikari went next to him, and after patting his shoulder once he said:

"It's alright man... They don't know anything..." sentence that made Dusk question Hikari's knowledge even more. He understood that Hikari was an incredible person, knowing many things... But just how far did that knowledge extend? Did he also know about... Dusk's past...?

 After the five students headed back to the dorms, it was already morning... However, later was announced that the lessons for that day were suspended because of an anomaly that happened in the system last night, which had to be repaired as fast as possible.

 Out of the students of the first year, only the group of five that was present last night knew the real circumstances that caused the suspension of the lessons for that day, so he thanked God, and relaxed for the time being, for the rest of the day...

 Many had different methods of relaxing, but Dusk and Hikari were doing their usual stuff... It was already past 4 PM and the two of them were still... Sound asleep...

 After that hour, someone was desperately ringing the doorbell of their room, urging them to get up from the bed... Managing to wake up, Dusk hardly opened the door of their room, for his eyes just to meet Tohka's afterwards...

 It was not only here though... Accompanying her were Mizuki, Alex and also Fabio... After Mizuki heard about the way that Hikari and Dusk spend their free day, she got pissed, so she invited all of the group members out, going to one of the specially arranged institutes on the campus, that was specially designed for the students to spend their free time in... It was the Game Land... 

"Good thing that they didn't know I was also sleeping..." whispered Fabio towards Alex

"Yeah... Me too..." whispered Alex.

"I heard you... Geez, why are all the boys like that?" asked Mizuki

 After a while, the group arrived at the Game Land and spent the remaining time of the day playing games and eating at the restaurant of the Game Land... Fabio even managed to humiliate everyone at every possible game there was, and break all of the scores that were already present at the time.

 And so, the group broke afterwards, everyone going to its dorm... Since, unlike today, tomorrow would still be a normal school day...
