Chapter 5: Killer

Everyone started moving after a while, but just then, they could hear the lesson's narrator coming with news for them...
"Five members of Class C got "killed" by Dusk Aome!"
"What...?" asked Mizuki quietly.
"Already?!" shouted Hikari
--- After hearing the astonishing message of the announcer, everyone started coming to terms with reality and think about this incredible feat Dusk has achieved.
"It just started and already..."
"That guy is nuts!"
"Incredible, Dusk!" shouted Mizuki as well as the rest of her class.
Dusk managed to ambush a 5 man team from Class C at the beginning of the competition, without even giving them a chance to answer the attack. Wonderful strategy and quick action... Even the examiners were proud of what a student they currently had at their school.
The competition already started 15 minutes ago and already, Class C has only 11 students left... The others were wiped out by Class B. There were still no signs of Class A or Class D, nobody from their team getting eliminated or eliminating someone up until this point in the exam.
"I see. That's your plan huh, Hikari? Letting them kill each other and then clean up with your own power... But I wonder for how much can you stay hidden..." says the principal from the supervising area while looking at the movements of Class D.
After class B saw that Class C was weakened enough, they split up into smaller teams and searched for the other classes. However, they are underestimating their enemies...
In one open area of the forest, three members of Class B that were currently patrolling heard some movements from the brushes... And then, two members of Class C jumped instantly out of those brushes.
"We surrender... Please don't hurt us!" they said after coming out from their hiding place.
After hearing their scared affirmation, the B Class students let their guard down... At that very moment, Hikari appeared behind them, just like a shadow, and with one s***h of his sword, he eliminated the three of them.
"Three members of Class B were "killed" by Hikari Ianku!"
From up a tree in the vicinity, Dusk was carefully looking at the entire scene, analyzing what happened. He saw the entire situation, but still, it was not a good idea to intervene so he chose not to...
"Those idiots... My classmates are too naive for this world..." he thought just before leaving his current location.
Hikari looked towards that tree Dusk left just a few seconds ago, however, both he and Dusk went opposite directions...
--- Meanwhile, at the supervising area, a strange alarm could be heard throughout the room, from the vest monitoring device.
"We have an error! This is a huge problem!" shouted one of the aides.
"What is it?!" shouted the principal.
"There is one student in Class C that broke the vest's program and got the ability to neutralize it!"
Then suddenly, the announcer was heard yet once again...
"Three members of Class B got killed by Kazami Satoshi!"
"Those students weren't eliminated... Their life signs are down to 0... They are dead..." says the aide.
"Send an emergency message right away!"
"Attention everyone! There is a student that broke the vest's program... He started killing students for real! We are going to send someone to catch him! Until then, stay away from the student known as Kazami Satoshi from Class C!"
"Hehehehe! Let's see how good they are at hiding!" shouts Satoshi with a scary tone.
"Wait... You mean that three of my classmates were-?!" thought Dusk
"Well... This is going to be problematic..." mutters Hikari while walking around in the forest peacefully.
"Two students from Class D were killed by Kazami Satoshi!"
"Those idiots...!" mutters Hikari
The other students from Class D stared at Hikari with scared looks on their faces.
"I don't have time to deal with him... I have to make a plan to beat Dusk..." thought Hikari
"Jipushi Konno from Class D was killed by Kazami Satoshi!"
After stopping and thinking for a bit, Hikari said to his classmates:
"Okay, fine... If you hear something, just climb in the trees."
--- Somewhere in the forest, Mizuki's group starts searching for a good hiding place... But then, they realized that they didn't move fast enough to do so. Kazami finds them, and then with a murderous look on his face starts approaching them, while holding a huge, spiked sword, full of blood in his hands...
"You two... Run as fast as you can! I am going to guard your back, so please, don't look behind!" shouted Mizuki with a scared tone on her face.
Magic: Fire Blast!
Kazami easily dodges her attack and comes at Mizuki with incredible speed and then punches her in the abdomen with incredible force, knocking her three metres behind.
"Well, I think I have to be serious..." mutters Mizuki.
She calls her weapon, a bow appearing in her hands and then casts another spell:
Magic: Flaming Arrow!
"Let's see what you've got!"
Mizuki shots the Flaming Arrow at Kazami, but he easily dodged it, giving him the best opening to hit her with another powerful punch. He could have killed her from the beginning with his sword, but it really seemed like he enjoyed this fight.
"Mizuki Shimada from Class B was eliminated by Kazami Satoshi!"
"What...? With just two punches he could defeat me... Did Class C always have such a strong guy?" muttered Mizuki while on the ground.
"I see that's all you've got... I think it's time to finish!"
Kazami raises his sword and then launches a strong blow straight towards Mizuki. But suddenly, her hero appeared to save her skin out of this horrible situation... Hikari appeared out of nowhere and blocks the attack with his sword.
"Ooh?! You are a normal class too?!" shouted Kazami and then seeing him better, he said: "Wait... You are Hikari Ianku! The guy who defeated my friend Kubo! I got a big price on your head, you know?!"
"Thanks... I will entertain you more for approximately 0.5 seconds..." said Hikari
"Huh?" replied Kazami
Then with incredible speed, Hikari got behind Kazami and with one strong hit on his neck, he left him unconscious.
"Crap... It was 0.6 seconds. Well, I tried..." said Hikari a bit depressed.
"T-Thank you mister Hikari!" shouted Mizuki with teary eyes.
"Go back at the start place... He might wake up soon..."
But at that moment, the principal and some other soldiers appeared from the woods and took Kazami into their custody.
"You did well, Hikari."
Then, on the entire island, the words of the examiner could be heard:
"Kazami Satoshi was defeated by Hikari Ianku! The competition may start again!"
"So you really went after him..." says Dusk while carelessly walking through the forest.
After just 5 more minutes, nothing was left from Class C... Class B and Class D defeated all of its students.
"Now, attention everyone... I've got a plan to destroy the B team!" shouted Hikari
At the moment, there are only 14 members left in Class B and 18 left in Class D. Also, Class A had yet to make any move, having all of its students in the game.
"You are going to ambush the small teams together while I guard your back...!" explained Hikari
After this, the small teams got easily destroyed... There remains only 1 member in Class B, him being Dusk. However, during those ambushes, some of the D Class students also lost, there being only 14 left of them...
Finding Dusk was too hard for one team, so the big team split, even though Hikari did not want to. He had to agree with this since he wanted a chance to find him. Only 4 members remained with Hikari while the other ones started searching...
All this time, Dusk waited for the best moment... He went after the small teams and destroyed them. Thus making the remaining number of students in Class D... Five.
"Listen... There are only around 7 minutes left... If we have more members alive, we win... We need to find Class A... The four of you hide somewhere... I will search them and defeat all of them as fast as I can!" said Hikari
After this happened... The four classmates of Hikari ran into the forest to hide... But then... Suddenly, a huge explosion could be heard right in that direction where the Class D members ran to...
"Four members of Class D got eliminated by Dusk Aome!"
"Only 5 minutes are left of this challenge!"
"Well... I think it can't be helped... We are really going to fight, after all, Dusk. Let the best fighter win!"
From the direction of the explosion, one silhouette came, slowly cracking his fingers while approaching Hikari.
"Were they that bad at hiding?" asks Hikari
"They didn't even hide... They just bumped into me... That explosion was a reflex..." said Dusk
"Wouldn't it be easier for both of us to surrender?" asks Hikari
"I can beat you fast enough, so why would I surrender?"
"There are only 5 minutes left of the competition..." says the principal while looking at Hikari and Dusk, and how they were prepared to take each other on.
"So... Shall we stop losing this short time we have?" asks Dusk
Hikari then, slowly draw his lightsaber...
"Before we can start, can I ask you something?" asks Hikari
"Hmm?"
"What do you think you can do to me with that staff...?" says Hikari
"Hmm? This stick? I used it to help me climb the hills..."
And so, Dusk threw the stick in the air... And then, when the stick hit the ground, their fight started...
Hikari quickly approached Dusk with his lightsaber, but Dusk stopped it easily using a defensive magic circle.
"That's pretty good, but can you stop that?"
Hikari approaches Dusk's head with his left hand... And then, he reveals a gun that has the same pattern as the lightsaber.
At that very moment, Dusk kicked Hikari in the abdomen, and then took distance from him.
"When did you get that?! Are you seriously trying to kill me?!" shouted Dusk
"The principal said that we have to try killing, sooo... I do what I know best besides sleeping."
Hikari then starts shooting light bullets towards Dusk, which he evades every time but doesn't try to attack back...
"Now, now... What should I do...?" muttered Dusk with a smile on his face.
