In no time whatsoever, it was past midday day, and he was getting into his car. As he locked up his house, he absently noted that he hadn’t seen his cat at all day and usually the little cretin would slink into the house at some point for food.  With a shrug, he carried on to his car and was easily pulling out of his driveway mere minutes later. The drive into town was a very quiet one with only the sound of the radio to keep him company. He hummed along to the songs that he recognized and pondered at some of the news that was airing.  He was very removed from the news and preferred not to read the papers, so he had no idea whatsoever what was going on in the world.
