Chapter 12: Information.

'Hmm... So that's why Lavi is scared to go in. The barrier is definitely a Demon Lord Barrier.'

Pixel thought. He was looking around the Abandoned Church that Lavi raid with Luke. And right beside him is Luke.

"So what do we do Sage? Should we just go in and then destroy the entire Cult down? We only gotta worry about the High priest right?"

Luke asked. Pixel look at him and nodded.

"Yes. We only need to worry about the High Priest. But that doesn't mean that we can just come in and go out safely. It'll be better if we call everyone else here and then we can raid it together. After all, It would be better if Gwen is around."

Pixel said. Luke agreed on that. If they didn't have Gwen, It's going to be hard for them since they're definitely going to get injured at some point.

"Anyway, We only have Lavi and Gwen. The other 6 is doing another Raid somewhere else. So let's call them both here and get it started!"

Luke suggested that to Pixel. Pixel sighed and he took out his sword. They couldn't just go inside the barrier because of the mental attack they will receive.

But that's why Pixel is here. As a Sage, The Strongest Magic User in the world. He will break the barrier for them.

"Ghhhaaa...."

Pixel take a deep breath and let it out. His mark shines.

'Serene Mind. Anti Barrier. Iron Strike.'

While Pixel is preparing his attack. Luke called Lavi up.

"Hey Ace. We're going to destroy the Church now. Bring Angel with you. We need as much support as we could."

"Got you."

Lavi replied. He look at Gwen and Riri. Riri nodded. She agreed to come to join on the raid. Lavi give her a Mantle and a mask with no effect.

"Angel."

Lavi call Gwen. They wear their coat and mask and they Teleported. As soon as Lavi arrived.

"Sage. Do it."

Lavi said. Pixel nodded and he swing his sword. And the Barrier shattered. And without any hesitation. Pixel also let out his spell.

"Thunder God Judgement!"

He Strike the Whole Church down with Giant Thunder. And it immediately get reduced to ashes. Of course, People wouldn't know what's happening because of the Barrier that Pixel set up to cover their track.

Everyone look at Lavi.

"Tactic All 1."

Lavi said. As soon as he said that. Everyone nodded. And behind their mask, They were grinning. Riri didn't know what's happening. So she just take her sword out and get ready.

Luke can't use his Shadow Realm as good anymore because they decided to raid it at daytime. Which is purely a mistake on Luke side because he told Pixel that he's ready to go. So they did it.

And from the ashes. The same Priest and a bunch more followers rises. They immediately shot a really high tiered Flame Magic.

They didn't look worried a single bit. Pixel prepare his magic as well. But he didn't use it to counter the flame magic. He's going in for the attack.

Lavi leaped forward. With Gwen buffs on him and his own buffs. Lavi is the stronger one.

"Elemental Splitter."

Lavi swing his sword up and cut the flame into nothingness. And the air seems to be cut by Lavi. But they didn't really care about that.

"Hollowed Ground."

Pixel use his spell and suddenly, The Ground turn into a sinking Mud. The priest and his follower struggle around for a little bit.

Lavi, Without anymore hesitation. Went serious.

"Air Walk."

Lavi leaped toward them and just sliced them around. They try to Shoot Lavi with more magic. But Lavi just counter it with his Elemental Splitter.

With just pure speed. Lavi cut them into pieces. Lavi leaped back to the group and take his mask off.

"Mission completed."

Lavi said. Everyone look at the Sinking People. They were cut into pieces without them noticing it. But as they were sinking, Their body split into multiple chunks and fell down.

"See? It's not really that hard with Pixel on our side."

Luke said. Lavi nodded. At first, He was hesitant to go there because of the barrier and the priest because he have anti stealth. And with Pixel Around. His Magic can make other Magic fail. So he's an important assets to the fight.

They all take off their mask. Including Riri.

"So that's how you guys usually do raid huh."

She muttered. Luke look at her and shake his head.

"Well, This is the lowest form of our raid. Leaving it all to Lavi. It's not really that great because, It make us feel useless. But at this state, He's the one who can kill them quick."

Riri nodded in understanding. Pixel add to that.

"But the highest form of our raid is when everyone is at the best condition and we fight together as a team with almost impossible coordination. It's so smooth and clean, you can see that s**t all the time and it stills melt your heart."

Lavi look over to the ashes and use his Aura Read.

"Everyone. Get Ready again."

Lavi said. Everyone look over there and wear their mask. Gwen immediately move in front of Riri.

"Don't leave me."

Gwen said to Riri. Riri nodded. From the Ashes. A Black and Purple Smoke rises. And it form a humanoid figure.

Lavi, Gwen, Pixel and Luke recognize that. Riri asked Gwen.

"What's that?"

"That's what you call a Miasma. They're a pain in the ass. They have a power of the Demon Lord. But fortunately, This Miasma isn't as strong as the Demon Lord. So that's a plus at least."

Gwen said. Everyone activate their Serene Mind.

Miasma is a powerful spirit made out of Demon Lord Aura. And Miasma is what is lurking inside the Priest body. So that's how he become that powerful.

Miasma need the perfect vessel. If he choose the wrong vessel, Their power will decrease really low. And if they get the Perfect Vessel, They will become stronger than their usual form.

And this Miasma choose the wrong vessel. So that's why the Priest is weak.

'But still. Miasma normal strength is big.'

Lavi thought. Everyone immediately activate their Limit Break while they were there. While the Miasma is looking around. Everyone charged their power.

"BLINKSTRIKES FULL POWER."

Everyone use the same technique. There's a lot of distorted space around the Miasma. And with their new Swords. That Distorted Space become like a black hole. And it shoot out a really strong slashes to the Miasma. It bounces and bounces. The ground was filled with holes and cuts.

The ashes was scattered to the air. The bushes and trees was cut into pieces and they were scattered on the air as well.

After they're done combining their Blinkstrikes and causing chaos. They look at the Miasma. It receives a lot of attack. But they were surprised that amount of Blinkstrikes with a really strong sword isn't enough to kill it.

Lavi and Pixel charged forward. Lavi enhance his sword with Absolute Sharpness and it become even more disgusting.

Lavi and Pixel swing their sword toward the Miasma neck. It cut the neck. But at the same time, Before the Miasma vanished into thin air.

He sliced Lavi and Pixel side open. Fresh Blood splashed to the ground. Lavi and Pixel fall down and they started fidgetting.

Lavi and Pixel stare at each other. They're just sliced by Miasma. Meaning a powerful poison is spreading to their body.

Gwen, Luke and Riri immediately dashed toward them. Luke and Riri bring them closer to the middle. Gwen immediately use her healing magic.

"Sanctuaries."

Her Mark shines and it close Lavi and Pixel wound as well as cleanse their body and make a new blood. Now they're in the perfect condition again.

"How is that happened?"

Luke asked Lavi and Pixel. They didn't have any answer.

"Even with Serene Mind I can't see that hand. So the only answer I can found is that the Miasma use our blind spot and sliced us. If that's the case, Miasma have gotten really smart."

Lavi said. Pixel agreed and he added.

"This is really critical. If Miasma have got their own brains, This mean that they're not going to choose their vessel randomly. They will see who got the most potential to being their perfect vessel."

Everyone was disgusted by that if that's true. Lavi immediately call Bianca and told her about it. Bianca immediately rely the information to the rest of the party.

"Anyway. We're done with this. Let us know if you find something like this again. And we can raid it again probably in the night. Luke is hella useless in day time."

Pixel said. He look like he was mocking Luke. Luke look at Pixel and said.

"Whatever man. I can't really argue on that. See you guys later."

Luke said. Pixel teleported and Luke went with Pixel.

"Wow. They're really getting along huh."

Gwen said. She look at Lavi. Lavi look back at her confused.

"What?"

Lavi awkwardly asked. Gwen smiled at him and said.

"Nothing. Riri, Lavi. Let's go back to the Inn."

"Okay."

Gwen touch their shoulder and they teleported away from the area to the Inn. And when they're done, The other raid isn't.

In fact! When Pixel thought they were doing a similar raid, They were still talking about the place. Because, Pixel didn't give them a specific location.

So Bianca have to work on that vague information and find it herself. While she was searching for it. Lavi called.

"Yes Leader?"

She stopped searching and talk with Lavi.

"Bianca. Leader have some critical information. Tell everyone this. Be careful around Miasma. Pixel and Leader have find some new and bad things about them."

"Yes! Can Leader tell Bianca about it?"

"The Miasma starting to recognize certain tactic. It seems like they developed their own thinking process. And Leader is confidence Bianca know what that means right?"

Bianca was shocked hearing that information.

"Yes Leader! Bianca will tell everyone about this! Thank you for your hard work."

Bianca said. Lavi end the call. Bianca immediately use her Serene Mind and search for the location. As soon as she find it. She went back to everyone and said.

"Everyone! Leader have some information!"

Everyone immediately get serious. They were fooling around before this. But when they hear that Lavi have information. That make them really serious.

"So, Leader said this to Bianca. Be careful around Miasma. They have reach a stage where they have developed a thought process. And From Bianca Observation, That mean that they can choose their perfect vessel by themselves. That also mean that they can observe everyone attack and counter it. From Leader tone, He have been attack by Miasma."

Bianca make her observation. Everyone planted that to their brain. Everyone pat Bianca shoulder. After Bianca tell them where the place are. They went there.

And instantly, They can feel a really big evil on the area. It's not a church or something. It's their Ritual Ground.

There's a lot of dried up blood there. Everyone was disgusted by that. They stay as far as 1 KM away from that place.

"Sniper, Use your Eagle eyes."

Eve said. Kiara immediately look at the Ritual Ground. On the middle of that Ritual Ground is a puddle of blood. It's a mixture of Human Blood and Demon Blood.

There's a bunch of Cultist Corpses and Demon Corpses. Kiara was actually relieved when seeing that.

"Good news, They use their blood. Not normal human blood. And there's a lot of Demon corpses on the side."

Kiara said. Everyone sighed. Everyone look at each other and they nodded. Suddenly, Their head shifted toward Bianca.

"Strategist, Call Pixel and Lavi here. We're going to raid this place at night."

Erina said. Bianca nodded.

"Leader. This is Bianca. Erina want Leader to come here with Gwen later at night."

"Bianca? Tell Erina Sister that I got it."

Bianca look at Erina and she nodded. Then Bianca move to Pixel.

"Pixel. Is Luke still with you?"

"Bianca. Yeah. Luke is still with me."

"Bring him here later on the night. We're going to raid it on the night."

"Got you."

After that's done, They went back to their Special Hideout. Which is a cave with nothing in it. Bianca give Lavi and Pixel the coordinate to teleport. Lavi told Gwen that and they wait until the night to come.

Riri didn't want to come because she want to focused on her training. Lavi respected that decision and let her do her training.

'Ritual Ground huh. This can be our first step to stop them all. But I still need to be careful. I can see there's going to be a lot of Miasma.'

Lavi thought. He was sitting on the bed side after Gwen is satisfied with him. He's tired as hell. But he still looking forward to the Raid.

It's the Second time today. And it's going to be the fun one. Gwen sit up and hug Lavi from the back.

"Are you excited? After all, It's the first one that we get to raid with the others after a long time."

"Of course I'm excited. Raid with Everyone is fun. And sometime it's funny too when Eve Sister use her Mirage World. It confused the enemies and we get to see a fight between comrades."

"Yeah. It's funny. Anyway, Let's get ready. You don't want Bianca to be mad right?"

"Yup. I don't want her to be mad at me."

Lavi immediately clean himself and wear his uniform. He prepared his mask and put it on the top of his head.

"Sis, Are you ready too?"

"Yup. Let's go."

Gwen hold Lavi shoulder and they teleported to the Coordinates. They arrived at the Cave and they arrived at Lavi chair.

"Oh sweet."

Lavi immediately sit down and Gwen scooch over to the side and sat down on the stone cold chair.

Pixel and Luke arrived shortly after. Now that everyone is here. Lavi stood up.

"Alright everyone. It's the first time us 10 Going to raid together again. Let's do the usual."

Lavi said that word. Everyone smirked and they put their mask on. They immediately went out of the cave and Pixel teleported all of them to the Barrier.

"Berserk. If you will."

"Got you."

Hearing Lavi command, Brendon immediately take his sword out. It shines in his color and he just swing it without any hesitation.

Pixel enhance his sword with Anti Barrier. And as soon as the Barrier Break. He took it off again.

"As usual, Me and Assassin are going stealth."

Lavi said. Everyone nodded and they move together Lavi and Luke is right with them but, They're using their stealth.

And then, The enemies come. They're just a normal follower. But the amount is around 1000. They're holding some sort of pitchfork and torch. Lavi and Luke went inside the Shadow Realm and they went to the middle of the Ritual Ground.

And they were greeted by a giant goatman with 2 horn sticking on the side and 12 Priest. Lavi and Luke job right now is to kill the Goatman and prevent the 12 Priest to run.

'It seems like the Goatman is about to be sacrificed. And with that blood, It will definitely fill the Ritual Cauldron up. But I don't think they have enough human blood in that.'

Lavi make his observation. Lavi and Luke went out from the Shadow realm. Lavi immediately de-activate his stealth and jumped up to the sky.

"Boom Bitches."

Lavi immediately quick draw his Silver Annihilation and sliced the Goatman in half. But he's not done yet.

He use his Air walk to gain a 1 second of stance. And once again, He quick draw. Cutting the Goatman into 4 pieces.

Before the Goatman is able to bleed. Luke immediately activate his Shadow world and absorb the Goatman down. Lavi went back down to the Ground and greet the 12 Priest.

"Hello Priests of the Cult. Tonight is the last night you're going to get on this stupid ritual."

Lavi said. The Priests smirked and they shoot a giant ray of thunder to Lavi. Lavi with Serene Mind managed to catch that flash.

He immediately prepare his counter spell.

"Felix Shield."

Lavi swing his sword down and the Thunder was deflected to the Priests by Lavi.

"And there goes my Felix Shield. I need to rely on my Elemental Splitter from now on."

Lavi and Luke exchange slashes to the Priests. But they're really strong. Their Barrier managed to block their attack every single time.

Lavi know the reason why. And Luke seems to realize it too. They were the perfect vessels to the Miasma inside them.

Lavi use his Aura Read and he see his ally behind him. Everyone managed to kill 1000 Follower in that amount of time.

"Good. Now Mirage can use her Mirage World and let the Priests fight each other."

Lavi look at Eve. Eve nodded and she started activating her spell. It took her 10 Seconds to finalize her Mirage World.

"Mirage World!"

Lavi and Luke retreated and Eve shoot her spell to the Priests. And suddenly, They started fist fighting each other.

Lavi and the rest of them sat down and started betting.

"So, Who do you think will win?"

Lavi asked. Everyone pick different people. The priests is punching, kicking, and bad mouthing each other. Lavi and the others laughed toward that. But then, Another Demon appear. It's a giant Goatman again.

The Goatman immediately smushed the Priests to become a paste of flesh and bloods.

Lavi and the other was pissed at that Goatman, Their fun was taken away by him. So Eve get serious.

"Nightmare"

Eve give the Goatman an infinite Death Illusion and he stopped moving entirely. He's still alive but he just can't.

"Blast."

Lavi called Leon. Leon nodded and he take his sword out. His sword was covered by flames. Leon cover himself using flames too.

He jumped and his power was boosted by the flame. Leon thrust his sword on the head of the Goatman. And the Goatman head explode into pieces.

Luke use his Shadow World to eat the Goatman and the smushed Priests. And then come the real problem.

"12 Miasma is appearing."

Lavi warned everyone. Everyone look at that Purple and Black smoke rising. But something different is happening. Instead of them becoming 12 different humanoid. The 12 Miasma decided to combined into one and become a big miasma. Everyone panicked and they take their stances.

"I see... So this is what Lavi mean by they having their own thought process. One miasma having 12 Miasma power. It's definitely strong. And this is never happened before. So they're really evolving..."

Erina said. She never know that Miasma can do this sort of thing. She always thought that Miasma is going to choose a vessel and stay there until they died and search for a new vessel.

But now, They can combined into one strong miasma or choose their own perfect vessel.

"Things started to get hairy..."

Everyone muttered. They stare up to the Giant Miasma.
