Chapter 52: Bronze Serpent.

So, With the Blue Gryphon taking care of Former Kireno Kingdom. It's time for Lavi to actually recruit some more talented fighters. So, He make an announcement to 4 Country. Shireno, Hollis, Euriana and Labola.

And it takes a couple of days for people to use something called the Teleportation Gate. It's expensive with 1 Gold Coin for one time use. And they use it from Guild to go to Another Guild in somewhere in the world.

Of course. Lavi was the one recruiting them so that they can become a new army called Bronze Serpent. Of course, There's no Adventurer coming. There's people who want to become a knight but the Knight Order isn't open for registration yet.

And since Lavi want to grab a lot of talents to further improve the Safety of Shireno. And not only that, He want something to rely on if he's busy with something to go to the War Site.

So, There's around 1000 People from Shireno, Hollis, Labola and Euriana. All of them were standing in the piercing cold of the Training Ground that Lavi put them.

Lavi, With nothing but plain boring shirt and shorts. And sword that he stab to the ground said.

"Everyone. Welcome to Shireno. I'm Lavi Shireno Amidis. The Prince of Shireno Kingdom. And for you guys who come to the test. Enjoy the test. Don't get to tensed up. You've been training your life for this title."

Lavi said. Everyone was freezing. But they can't complain. If they want to get the job, They need to hold the cold atmosphere. They're fortunate it's not snowing. It's just quiet and boring day.

In Typical Lavi fashion. He immediately cut straight to the point.

"I don't care what your results are. If you're from another country and you didn't know about the rules of Shireno. What the f**k are you doing here? Trying to make quick bucks from me? If that's your goal coming to Shireno. I would suggest you to f**k off right now. Before I find out and kick you off myself."

Lavi said. His pressure is immeasurable. He didn't want some whiny people in his Bronze Serpent. It's going to be an Elite Corps that will surpass Blue Gryphon in term of power. And they're going to be in a very special mission. So, Failure is not an option.

No one wants to leave it seems.

"I see.. So no one wants to leave. Before we move to the Physical Test. I will test your Mental first. I will use my Aura Read. Anyone that I deemed hostile, Will be chopped immediately. Got it? I don't want any spies in my Corps."

Lavi said. Everyone gulped. Lavi use his Aura Read and determined that half of the contestant is actually hostile. Meaning that, Some of them might be spies. But definitely, All of them is bearing ill intent toward Lavi.

"Alright. From 1000 People here. Exactly 500 of them are Hostile. I was so impressed by the number that I started to think if they're from organization of some kind."

Lavi said. Everyone immediately felt threatened from Lavi voice. He managed to get that amount of information in 1 seconds. It's insane. No wonder Shireno is so safe from any criminals.

Anyway, For the Bronze Serpent. Only 112 come from Shireno. And Lavi can differentiate who is actually from Shireno and who's from outside Shireno. The difference is the way they hold the cold, and the way they stand in front of Lavi. They're wearing nothing but Shirt and Shorts just like Lavi. And their posture seems to be tall. But they're actually greeting Lavi in a very good manner. Their neck was slightly bent to the front. And that's how Lavi knows.

And everyone as usual, bear no Ill Intent. They want to support Lavi as much as they could. Since they know. With Lavi in command. They're going to be fine.

Without any further instruction. Lavi shackles the Hostile men and tell the rest to split from them. They decided to circle around the 500 Men and look at them. Coincidentally, Even though there's a lot of Female wanting to join the Bronze Serpent. There's no women bearing ill intent to Lavi.

And Lavi was just about to ask them something. But he remember something that Bianca told him. To give them a job so that they were useful for him. Not just sitting on the house like a useless housewives.

Lavi decided to call all of his Fiancee there to interrogate them.

All 7 Fiancees appear in almost an instant. They're ready with their scarf and sword. They're matching scarf. Lavi look at them and thought 'Might as well.' And he wear his scarf.

Everyone was in love with the Girls immediately. But Lavi pressure is enough to put them on the edge of death. He was literally screaming 'IF YOU ARE CATCHED OGLING THEM, I WILL FIND YOU AND KILL YOU.' That's what Lavi pressure telling them. It's scary and they promise to never look at them like that again.

Everyone can't help but just let out an awkward smile to Lavi.

"So Lavi. Should I use my Truth or Lie?"

"Yeah. Please Gwen."

Lavi asked. Gwen immediately use her Truth or Lie and Bianca immediately talk with the other fiancee about what they should do. Mostly to Nazuna and Riri because, They're the one who actually like to follow Lavi footstep in term of killing criminals.

"Okay. Are you guys from the same group?"

Lavi asked. All of them immediately say yes because they hope that because they say yes, The punishment is going to be a little bit easier. Gwen immediately say Truth.

"Well, What groups are you guys from?"

Lavi asked. He use his pressure to gain more information.

"W-We are from The Assassin Guild..."

"I see... So your target is me?"

They nodded. Hearing that. The Fiancees immediately get ready. Even Althea and Mari was disgusted by them. Lavi put his hand up to calm them down.

"I don't want you guys to dirty your hands from my matter. So, Please hold back okay?"

Lavi said. But unfortunately for him. Nazuna is already on her Thunder God's Blessing. Seeing that Blue aura, The girls calm down and Lavi was like 'Oh shit... Goodbye you lot.'

Nazuna vanished. What left is just a trail of Thunder. And it goes through the Shackled Men. And in almost an instant. Nazuna reappear on the other side.

"Okay you lot! If you're disgusted by this. You need to work more on your Knight Skills."

Lavi said. They look at the Shackled men and instantly. Their head was decapitated. Lavi look at Nazuna and nodded.

Nazuna smiled and nodded as well and she actually clean it up... With this.

"Run Rampant! THOR'S HAMMER!"

Suddenly, A Giant Ray of Lightning strike the Ground and it immediately burn the Corpses to ashes.

Lavi immediately use his Sword art to clean the rest.

"Pure Sword Art. God Sword Art."

But, Before Lavi show his power off. Gwen stop him and Disintegrate all the ashes away.

"Lavi. It's not fun to show your power right?"

"Yeah.. You're right. Sorry Gwen."

Lavi said. Everyone was actually quite okay seeing the massive m******e that Nazuna give. Lavi immediately said.

"Alright everyone! Fight against each other! After 15 minutes, I will call the fight and the one still opening their eyes will pass this test!"

Lavi said. Gwen and the others teleported away from the Training Ground. Lavi crack his neck and everyone get started to fighting. Lavi was cheering them on.

And after 15 Minutes. Lavi saw 3 Figures standing left. Everyone else's passed out. One of them is grinning with bloodshot eyes. With blond short hair and quite muscular body. It remind Lavi with Edward Woe. But he's human.

Another one is a woman with with red hair that she put to a pony tail. She's holding a sword on her left and right hand. She's a double sword user.

And one more man with black hairs and black eyes. He wear glasses and he's a Spear user.

Lavi claps his hands and call everyone.

"Congratulation you three. You finish the test. Now. Let's move to the next test. If you manage to survive 1 minute of my attack. You guys get the Bronze Serpent Title."

Lavi said. Everyone look at him like 'Seriously?!' And Lavi face is telling them he's serious. He grab his sword and look at the 3 of them.

"Come. I don't want to hear any excuses."

Lavi said. They didn't want to come as expected. So Lavi was the one going crazy. He vanished and before they notices. Lavi sword is right beside them. Lavi moves to the Blonde guy first because he's using nothing but his fists.

Lavi was so fast that the man using his fists can't do anything about the incoming attack. Lavi use his Iron strike to blow him away.

And then, Move to the black haired guy. Lavi swing his sword and the guy immediately swing his spear around and thrusts it to Lavi with great precisions. But it still not enough. Lavi just swing his leg to the side and blow the guy away.

Lavi eyes grew colder. The woman with red hair immediately sighed. She readied her sword and Lavi just swing his swords a couple time. The woman use her acrobat moves to spin around, Flip around the ground to dodge Lavi sword. She's really nimble that she manage to dodge Lavi attack for 1 whole minute while the other guys didn't even survive 1 seconds.

Lavi call the guards and told the rest of the passed out people to go home. But the 2 guys that Lavi fought actually moved to the Blue Gryphon for their amazing ability. So they started training immediately. While the red haired ponytail girl. She was staying with Lavi in the Training Ground.

"What's your name and where did you come from?"

Lavi asked calmly. The girl immediately introduce herself.

"I'm Veronika Monique. I'm from here. Shireno, I was born at Hollis. But at 2 Years old, We moved here. I'm 20 Years old. So, It's been 18 Years since I live in Shireno."

Veronika said. Lavi nodded.

"I see... You have the potential to become the Bronze Serpent. How about that? You accept that responsibility?"

"Yes sir. Let me serve under you directly."

"Good. Just remember, It's only you in the Bronze Serpent Still. Until I find someone who can put up some great fight against me. You will be alone in Bronze Serpent."

Veronika nodded in understanding. It seems like she's ready to go anytime when she come.

"Great. Anyway."

Lavi suddenly swing his fist toward Veronika Face. Veronika reacted quickly and block Lavi fist with her Swords.

"Ho? You're different from any other people in here. You get a fast reaction time and quick thinking."

Lavi compliments here. Veronika kneeled and said.

"Thank you your Highness. Your Compliments is really appreciated."

Lavi smiled.

"Well then Veronika. You're going to be served under me. For now, I will let you train with Blue Gryphon. I'm going to train you personally once a week. I will teach you along with my Fiancees how to become stronger."

"Yes Your Highness! Thank you for the chance!"

Veronika immediately run with fast speed to the second training ground to join the Blue Gryphon training session. Since she was sent directly from Lavi, no one will ask her anything.

After all, She's someone worthy of the title Bronze Serpent. Lavi realizes something in the country. Most of the Guards and the Knight are Men. There's little to no women in here. And that's really weird because, Lavi see a lot of women registering and entering. And one of them actually managed to make it through and win it all.

It's quite a weird system in Shireno. But that's how it goes. Lavi go back to his house and immediately greeted by his Fiancees.

"So Lavi! How is the test?"

"Only 1 Person is worthy the title of Bronze Serpent. The rest are chumps."

Lavi said. Gwen and the others nodded. They didn't feel anything significant in them. They didn't have any special ability or special dedication to it.

Probably the reason why Veronika isn't shining through in the fight is because she's a woman. Lavi was quite focused on the men because he have a high hopes for them. So it's half his mistakes and the other half is also his mistakes... So it's Lavi mistakes as a whole.

"So, Who managed to pass the Bronze Serpent test?"

Althea asked. Lavi smiled.

"She's a woman called Veronika Monique. 20 Years old. Born in Hollis, Raised in Shireno. She's a Nimble Dual Swords user. And she's the only person out of the 3 people who managed to get through the first test that actually survived one minute of my attack."

Lavi said. Even though Lavi did hold back against her, Being able to dodge Lavi attack for 1 minutes straight is incredible. Some of the knight here can't even move when fighting Lavi. And yet, Veronika can move perfectly fine and she actually managed to block Lavi sudden point blank attack.

"And that alone is enough to gain her the Vice Commander spot in Bronze Serpent."

"I see.. So you're going to join the Bronze Serpent as the Commander huh..."

"Well, Not really. I'm going to give her the Commander soon. But for now, She's the vice commander."

Lavi said. It seems like he doesn't know what his fiancee mean. So they once again asked the same question.

"Oh me? I'm not joining Bronze Serpent. You see, I want to keep the Commander spot empty. Until I can't find anyone and put Veronika in it."

Lavi said. Lavi will join the fight with Bronze Serpent but he's not their commander. He's more likely to become the initiator. He's going to be the one who start the fight and end the fight.

He's not going to talk everyone about the plan and raise everyone spirit. He just want to get in. And get out. Simple is the best tactic period.

"Well Lavi is going to become the King. He's going to stop going into the battlefield himself. Right Lavi?"

Elli asked. Lavi look at her and replied.

"No. I will keep going into the Battlefield. I mean, I was born to go to the battlefield. So, I will go in there without any question asked."

Lavi said. Everyone tend to forget that Lavi is actually a Legendary figure. Even Gwen and Bianca. The less Lavi wear his mask the less everyone remember Lavi is actually ace.

But Lavi didn't have any problem with that. He likes getting recognized as Lavi anyway. All of his Comrades still wearing mask when going into fight, But Lavi didn't. Since expression is one of the most important essence on the battlefield. Especially for someone who get happy fighting like Lavi and some other guys.

And also, With Lavi being able to use both Serene Mind and Limit Break without needing a mask is also a big factor for him to change completely.

Anyway, After cuddling with his Fiancees for 4 Hours. It's finally 1 PM. Lavi go to meet Nick to ask the Progress of Bronze Serpent Project. The most ambitious yet effective Project about the Army that the king ever do.

"So Lavi. Can you tell me what happened from the start to finish?"

"Yes Father."

Nick is quite busy with Hailey who's belly, day by day get bigger. Lavi want to be there for her so that her baby inside her stomach felt familiar hearing Lavi voice.

But that's not the time. Lavi start explaining.

"This is the brief situation. There's 1000 People coming. 500 Dead. 500 Alive! 497 Passed out after 15 minutes. 3 left. 2 people failed the 1 minutes test. 1 left. And she completed the test. Thus, Earning her the title the Bronze Serpent."

Lavi said. Nick nodded. It's compact simple and really easy to understand.

"So, Who's her name?"

"She's Veronika Monique from Shireno."

Anyway, Lavi started to explain Veronika background to Nick. And also, Nick asked Lavi why 500 People dead in the first mental taste. Lavi mention the name of 'Assassin Guild' and he just nodded.

"Wait a minute Lavi... If people use Guild Teleportation Gate here... Doesn't mean that there's going to be a lot of Assassin sent toward you?"

"Well, It's fine. If they were sent toward me, What can they do? I was more worried if they sent Assassin toward you Dad. So, now that you make me paranoia. Take this Necklace. Give one to Mom and told her to wear it. It's Barrier Magic stones."

Lavi said. Nick nodded. Both of them run to Hailey room and he gave Hailey that. Also for keeping them save. Another Magic stones as bracelets that was imbued with Purification.

Lavi call that The Anti Killing Set. And his Dad or Mom is safe from any attack. He's not that worried about his Fiancees because they have the tendencies to always group up together. And as long as Althea is there. She can told Nazuna, Riri, Elli and Gwen about it and everything will be killed in an instant.

And if they were attack form all Direction. They can go fight or Teleport away. Or they could call Lavi to kill everything for them because the most terrifying state of Lavi is when his Fiancees in danger. He would kill a normal street thug with Pure Sword Art and God Sword Art just to make sure they were perished from the entire world.

That's why his Fiancees are confidence when going around outside. They didn't need to worried about getting attack because they know how to defend themselves and call Lavi.

While both NIck and Hailey. They're living in the Castle while Lavi lives in his own House. And they can't really protect themselves because they never bring any weapon with them inside the Castle. And they can't call Lavi through telepathy like Gwen or Bianca.

So Lavi will do anything in his power to keep both his Parents as safe as possible. Including the child on Hailey belly. And also his Fiancees.

And the lesson to be learn from Lavi attitude is that Lavi is an absolute Over Protective Kid and Husband. Not that it's a bad thing. It's actually a good thing. It just show them how much Lavi care about their well being and how much Lavi want them to stay here with him and the others.
