Xander wasn't sure that if she was joking. He looked at her and noticed the innocent expression on her face. She blinked her eyes at him waiting for his answer to which the Alpha licked his lips. How was he supposed to give an answer to that? What was he going to explain to the pack members when they find out?
The Alpha wasn't planning on telling the pack members that he found his mate. It was going to be chaotic simply because she was just a sixteen-year-old teenager.
"What do you mean?!" He asked clearing his throat and noticed that she looked alarmed and nervously shifted on her room.
As it was a dark night only the wolves who were patrolling where downstairs. He could not hear anywhere within a few miles which confirmed it that everyone was resting. They earned that date considering how hard they worked for planning the brunch for Aria.
The thought of her meeting his other pack members made his skin crawl. What if the omega didn't like them? He tried to breathe deeply and avoid all the anxious thoughts crawling inside his mind.
Xander couldn't help but notice that she was quiet, her toe nervously circling the floor as she looked down instead of meeting his eyes.
"Aria? Are you fine?" He asked, his voice barely a whisper.
She sharply turned her head to look at him, a tight smile on her face, "New places scare me so I was hoping to sleep in your room..."
He felt guilty for even having second thoughts. She had been through a lot, losing her parents and then staying at some awful omega centre. He should actually understand the conflict in her mind because he had been there. He lost his family and had no hope but her father took him in and he should at least repay that.
He scratched his nape of neck nervously, "I am sorry I had no idea. I just thought that you would be like any other teenager who would want her own room"
The omega snorted while shaking her head and defensively crossing our arms across her chest, "Yeah that's the thing I am not like any other teenager. Maybe someday I will need my own room but now I cannot imagine staying alone."
He nodded his head at that and his eyes went towards the stairs, her bags are already placed in her room. What about them?
"Why don't you just go inside my room and I'll bring your bags?"
She excitedly nodded her head, "Okay daddy"
Before he could correct her or say anything else she was already skipping her way towards his room. It was going to be a long night he thought while climbing the stairs.

As soon as he entered the room he could smell her scent intensify, it was as if she rolled on every surface of the room. He softly shut the door of his room behind his back and placed her bag in the corner of the room.
The Alpha groaned when he heard the sound of the water running inside his bathroom, the steam seeping out from the edge of the door making his skin prickle with goosebumps. The whiffs of the steam were the reason his room smelled like her and he found that comforting.
Ignoring the way he felt his c**k twitch in his pants he moved towards the bed and pulled the drawer underneath it. If they were going to sleep in the same room he might as well sleep on the floor instead of sharing the same bed. The Alpha was sure that he couldn't control himself in her presence, much less if she was beside him.
He pulled a single blanket and a thick duvet to cover himself even though his body was able to keep him warm at night. He just did not want to take any more chances. The Alpha heard the shower being turned off and the noise of curtains being pulled.
His hearing was better than before, not as much sense. It was definitely related to him finding her. But now as he understood, his wolf recognised she was his made it calmed down.
Xander held his breath as she walked out of the shower. Her skin appeared as if she was glowing, the water droplets kissing her skin, few of sliding from her name to the valley of her breast and disappearing. Aria's hair was wet and sticking to her cheeks. He clenched his jaw when he noticed that she was draped in his bathrobe. His grey robe with nothing underneath it. Just the thought of that made him shiver. It was torture seeing her like that and not being able to do anything about it.
"Uh... You are wearing my robe" He dumbly said looking at her to which the omega blinked her eyes innocently. As if to confirm she looked down and then tilted her head to meet his eyes.
She giggled, "Yes daddy. I had nothing to wear and you were taking too much time to bring my bags so..."
He hummed unable to form any words, his throat dry. The Alpha felt as if he was getting punished for some crime he did in his past life. It was not common for the wolves, especially omegas to have found their mate at sixteen but the legal age for mating was eighteen.
"Are you upset? I am so sorry daddy I should have asked" She rolled her bottom lip in between her teeth. Was she doing it purposely?
He sighed and shook his head, "It's fine."
The Alpha walked towards his closet and hurriedly picked a tee and rushed in the direction of the bathroom. He normally slept naked but he cannot do that anymore. As he places the hand on the knob he heard her voice from behind him.
"Are you taking a shower as well?" Her voice was soft, like honey on the warm waffle.
"Yes I desperately need one"

After a long cold shower where he tried not to think about her long eyelashes kissing her cheekbones or those pouty lips and the way her body was so sinful and delectable, he got out.
His eyes felt like they would bulge out of sockets any moment at the way he was staring at her. The omega was wearing a thin white camisole top along with black shorts, lace embroidered at side.
He swallowed the lump formed in his throat, "Umm...Are you sure want to sleep in those? It gets cold at night"
The omega jumped at his voice as she had her back turned to him and placed a hand on her chest. It made the Alpha frown considering she was a wolf and should be able to sense him. He will have to test her skills on the drill day.
"I usually sleep naked but..." She gritted her teeth together
The Alpha refused to think about it instead just nodded his head and walked towards the small bean bag where he dumped the blanket and duvet.
"I'll take the floor and you take the bed. Alright?" He asked picking the duvet.
The omega frowned at that and shook her head, "I don't want you to get cold. We can share the bed daddy. I promise you I won't take too much space"
He bit his tongue, "It's not... It doesn't matter but I don't think that we should sleep in the same bed together"
The omega whined. The sound made his Alpha hold back a growl of his own. He couldn't see her so distressed and out of it so he tried to convince her. Xander was aware that no one lingered on his floor because every pack member knew it was better not to disturb him so no one would barge in yet he was not ready to take any risk.
"But I don't want you to sleep on that cold floor."
"Aria try to understand..."
She shook her head, "If you are sleeping on the floor then I am sleeping on the floor as well"
Xander sighed as he realised that there was no use in arguing with her and also no winning on his side. The Alpha threw the duvet on the bed and looked at her elated expression.
"Happy?" He questioned as she walked at the bed from the other side.
"Yes very happy" She answered and then bounced on the right side of the bed. He switched off the light of his side and got on the bed beside her.
He had a king size bed but even then she crawled towards, only an inch of space in between them. The omega turned to look at him, her face bright and cheeks flushed.
"Thank you" She whispered
The Alpha raised his eyebrows, "For what?"
"For taking me in and not abandoning me like the rest of my old pack."
Her small voice tugged at his heart and he brushed at her cheeks, her eyes closed instantly at the touch.
"I would never abandon you"
"Now I know" She softly answered
