Xander stared bright-eyed at the food in front of him. It felt as if it had been years since he last saw the edible food. He turned his head to stare at the Alpha of the pack, Elvis. Why was he being so nice to him?
"You can eat whatever you want!" Elvis said patting his back and then turned to look at his Omega who was busy arranging the plates on the table.
As the Luna opened the lid of the bowl the smell of sauce and meat made Xander's stomach growl. He felt his cheeks redden at that and avoided making eye contact. He embarrassed himself on the first day itself.
Elvis laughed shaking his head, "Don't worry boy it's a natural reaction. My omega's food has that magic"
Xander noticed that Luna that that and slapped her Alpha's shoulder. It made him look away because his parents never showed love to each other and he always craved for that. before he could turn his late around he had the pitter-pattering of the soft footsteps. Curiosity got best of him and he turned to look around.
"Ahh finally your princess is here" Luna sighed while glaring at the small Omega.
The small girl was in a Hello Kitty dress with her dark brown hair tied in a ponytail. She looked at him with her dark brown eyes wide and narrowed as if she was trying to remember him. Her nose scrunched in concentration before she gave up and walked towards her father.
"Aria did you wash your hands?" Her mother asked her as the small Omega slumped down on the seat beside him. He could feel her eyes on him and it was making him nervous for some reason.
"Daddy who is he?" She blinked while turning towards her father and pointed her finger at Xander.
"Aria how many times have I told you it is rude to point fingers?" The Luna sighed as she pulled a chair beside her Alpha while shaking her head at her daughter's antics.
"I don't know Mummy. Hundred?" The omega answered and her father burst out laughing at that. When she noticed that her father was laughing the Omega started laughing as well.
Xander's lips twitched at that. She was quite witty for her age. If he had answered something like this to his father he would have received severe punishment. But Luna did not seem as angry as his father and also the Alpha himself was laughing.
"Your the only reason she is spoiled" Luna muttered to her husband before serving herself pasta and picking the garlic bread from the basket.
"How come I am responsible when she is bad?" Alpha teasingly asked while the younger Omega giggled and picked the bread from the basket. She gave Xander a look and then forwarded the bread towards him.
He mouthed a silent thank you under his bread while accepting the bread from her. Her face bright and that and she smiled widely.
"Mr Donati?" The sharp boys brought him back to the reality and he blinked his eyes at the attorney. He raised his eyebrows when he noticed that Aria was not by his side.
"Huh?" He cleared his throat while trying to look around the room. How did he lose her? She was just by his side after bawling her eyes out. The Alpha noticed that the lawyer narrowed his eyes at the Alpha as if he was unsure about the decision of sending the Omega with him.
"I asked if you wanted to drink something."
"Uh...no. Thank you but I am fine"
Chuck nodded his head, "Suit yourself"
"Umm... Where is Aria?"
"Mr Donati she went to collect her bags from the waiting room." The attorney said staring at him.
"I know that I meant to ask when will she be back?" Xander coughed to cover up. He was so lost in his own thoughts that he forgot she left just in front of him to get her bags from that room she was sitting earlier. He couldn't believe that she remembers him because it had been 10 years and she was just a pup
"Oh, there she is" Chuck pointed out in the direction of the door and Xander turned around to look at her.
His breath caught in his throat when he looked at her. She was gorgeous, the prettiest Omega he had ever seen and she was not even trying. Her brown hair was longer than the last time he saw her. Her hair was cascading down her back with little with soft hair kissing her face. Aria had the most expressive eyes because you could always look at them and find out what was going inside her mind. With her flushed cheeks and pink lips with her button nose, she could easily break hearts. That's what scared him the most.
"One last thing Mr Donati" Chuck interrupted before the Alpha could walk towards her.
"Yes?"
"I hope you know that the Omega services will have quarterly visitations for this entire year so that they can check up on her."
The lawyer's words echoed inside his ears like a bell and he nodded his head. The Alpha was aware that those services very brutal and it was impossible to negotiate with them. He has to be very careful and understanding with the Omega so that she doesn't have any kind of problem. Xander was aware that she must be protected from others also he should not expose the truth about him being her mate.
Omega develops rather slowly than the betas and Alphas. That is why they cannot have a sense of meeting their mates before eighteen. For once he did not like anything about that because Aria has no idea her legal guardian was her mate.
"Yes, I am aware. Thank you for the information. Those services are welcome to make visits as per my schedule. I would like to be there when they are in my packhouse" He muttered meeting the lawyers stare.
"Of course Mr Donati. They will call you beforehand"
"Good" Xander sighed and then finally had the chance to walk towards the Omega. As soon as he near her strawberry smell surrounded him like a cocoon and he tried not to breathe.
"Stay in touch Mr Donati," The lawyer said from behind him to which Xander only grunted in response.
"Ready to go?" He whispered looking at the omega who was meekly standing at the corner of the door, her back pushed against the door and holding a duffel bag.
"Yes please" She politely nodded her head while staring at the lawyer. He pulled her by her hand and she tightened her hold on him and they walked outside the door.

"Why were no there for the funeral?" The omega asked in a small voice as soon as they were sitting inside his car. The Alpha felt his heart clench at her small voice and turned to look at her.
"I am so sorry but I had no idea about the accident. I talked to your dad a month ago and everything was fine. He said he going to visit so I... I am so sorry" Xander mumbled in a hoarse voice as she was staring at him.
"Me too" She aguishly whispered.
There was complete silence for a few seconds before the Omega looked at him, "Why didn't you visit us all these years?"
His eyes widened at her question so he took a deep breath before answering her. It was not like he did not want to visit them but more as her father asked him to limit the visitations. That was the most evil thing Elvis might have done.
"You won't understand but I promise you I will tell you the reason when it's the right time"
The Omega frowned at that but slowly nodded her head making him sigh. At least she was understanding.
"So where do you stay?" She asked him as he turned on the ignition. The Alpha turned it off again because she surely wasn't done with asking questions.
"I have a pack house in Seattle. You are going to stay with- uhh...in the packhouse. It's your choice on whether you want to become a member-"
"I do" She interrupted him with a childish smile.
"That's great then. Being a rogue in Seattle is difficult"
She hummed and then licked her lips which made his c**k twitch. He cleared his throat and stared ahead at the silence in the car.
"So what do you want me to call you?"
"What?"
She blinked her eyes, "I am going to stay with you for one and half year so obviously I have to call you something, right?"
He nodded his head. He had no idea that it had been six months since her birthday which was stupid because he did get her a 16th birthday gift.
"Anything you are comfortable with" He smiled turning on the ignition.
"Okay daddy"
