Chapter Eleven Alice knocked softly on the door to Jeremy’s private drawing room. “Come in.” She entered, then closed the door carefully behind her. Confusion hit as she glanced around the room to find Ethan wasn’t there. It was also odd that Jeremy had asked her to come here in the first place—if his request was work-related, it would usually take place in his office. Or, less often, in hers or Ethan’s.
