5..4..3..2..1.. the bell rings
Finally the sport hour. It is my favorite hour because in this period I can play with all my classmates.
You should be thinking why it matters me so much. It's an important period indeed, but it is important for the fact that I can play with my classmates whom I wish to be my friends, however they don't like me.
Today I bring my new badminton bats which my parents bought for me after several requests.
I am in the play ground with my shuttle bats. There I see Arjun, my crush. He is talking and laughing with his friends. He is every girl's dream. Girls swoon over him. He is popular, smart, and good at sports too. I know that I am not enough for him, so I decide to keep my thoughts aside. I stroll my way near a group of girls who are my classmates gossiping about something.
I approach them asking, "will you play shuttle with me? I have an extra shuttle bat too."
Then Riya came towards me and said "Did u see your face in the mirror? Do you think that we are going to play with you?" She starts laughing along with others.
It hurts... it really hurts, not having any friends at school.
Sorry! I forgot to introduce myself. Right! I am Naina, and I am studying 9th standard in St.Anns School. I am not an A grade student but still I score 80% of marks in my subjects, but I like reading books especially romantic novels. I believe that that what happens might happen for a reason.
I am an average height girl with dark complexion and four eyes. Just kidding! I mean, I wear eye glasses. This is the reason that nobody likes to be friends with me. Almost all of my classmates are different when it comes to appearance like skin color , hair and so on. They are fair in color because they are from North India while I am a South Indian. In our class, I am the odd one whom everyone makes fun of.
After leaving the play ground, I take refugee in the place that gives me peace and quiet, the library. I feel really down, all my attempts are in vain. I can't make any friends. I sit down in my favorite place which is in the corner of the library where no one can see me. I flip some pages, smelling the scent of papers. Perfect! I start reading.
