Chapter 4“Are you excited?” Prisha asks. “I’m glad to be going home and glad my apartment has an elevator,” Arkady says, sitting on the edge of his bed and putting things in his bag. He’s been in hospital and awake for almost two weeks, and he’s seen Prisha every day of his stay. Arkady wants to think of her as a friend. She’s so kind to him, but he made that mistake with Thomas, and he’s not going to do that a second time. His cell phone chimes, and Arkady apologies for looking at his phone in the middle of a conversation.
