It was nearly a two hour drive from Everglades City to the village where my parents lived, next to Fort Myers. Unlike my best friend, I had always been a pretty calm and patient guy, and today I was in no hurry at all. Why would I be? Even if we hadn’t reached our destination yet, I was right where I wanted to be - right beside my mate.
“I can’t believe we’re going to meet your parents. I’m so nervous,” Amaura chuckled from the passenger seat. She had her window open and looked like a real angel with her dark golden hair dancing with the wind.
