"I will help you two get out of this forest," the hunter said to us. As we followed the hunter, he seemed like a guardian angel sent to get us out of this trial. His warm smile and gentle attitude put us at ease, and we felt a wash of relief over us. We had finally found someone who could help us.
"I'm Marcus," the hunter said, extending his hand, "I live here with my family, and I've been hunting in this forest for years now," he explained.
We introduced ourselves, and Marcus attentively listened to us. "We were attacked by some men," I explained. "They chased us through, and we barely escaped with our lives."
"I've heard rumors of some men operating in this forest," he said. "I've been tracking them for weeks, but I haven't been able to catch them in the act," he said.
