Chapter One
Scott and Eric Eastman had been married for three years and five months. And they were inseparable since the day they met. They loved each other very much and would do just about anything for one another. Eric was female, and Scott was Male. But since Eric looked Male, he was always referred to as a he. And, in their native language, they had no word for females, which worked out perfect for the humans. There wasn't any way to tell their gender other than pregnancy. And instead of nine months, it was nine weeks. Scott and Eric were born on planet Earth. Eric was born in the UK while Scott was born in the Bronc, New York. Eric came to America when he was thirteen and fell in love with it immediately. When Eric and Scott met, they fell in love and wanted to get married. But there was a law against that. So they had a private ceremony in which they were binded by the ways of their own culture. It was mid day when Eric decided to take a walk. Scott, always up before dawn, greeted him with a loving smile. "Hey, good mornin. how ya feelin? Ya look a little pale, you okay?" "I'm fine. I'm just feeling a little nauseous. " ''You're not getting sick, are ya?" Asked Scott, putting his hand on Eric's forehead. Eric moved away and slapped his hand playfuly. "Stop it, I'm fine. I'm going for a walk. Care to join me?" "Nah. I'll be right here when you get back." Scott replied, giving Eric a little kiss. Eric was walking through the park and walking with his head down and his hands in his pockets. Then something caught his eye, or rather, someone. "Emily?!" The woman turned around. "Eric?! I haven't seen you in so long! How are you?!" "Good. How are you?" "Great, now that I've seen you." Eric blushed. "How's Scott?" "He's well." "You sure you're doing alright? You look a little peeked." Eric sat down on a park bench. She sat next to him. He turned to her and sighed. "Emily..." He began. "Im... I'm pregnant. " Emily's eyes widened with excitement. "Oh my God! Congratulations!" He shook his head. "What's wrong?" "I'm scared." "Of what?" "I'm not sure I'm ready. I'm not sure I'd be a good parent. I know how much Scott wants to be, but I'm scared." "Don't be. You'll be a wonderful mother. And it's normal to be scared. It's your first child. No worries, you'll be fine." He looked down sadly. "Cheer up, Eric. Come on, we're gonna have a baby! Aren't you happy?" "Of course I am. I'm just a little nervous." "Does Scott know?" He shook his head. "No." "Eric! you've got to tell him!" "I know! I know, I'll tell him when I get home, okay? I promise. Oh, please dont tell him, Emily." "I won't. That's your responsibility anyway. so, how far along are you?" "Three weeks." "And you haven't told him?! Eric!" "I know. I'll tell him I promise I will." "Good. So we have six weeks left. Let's celebrate. Just you and me." Eric lifted an eyebrow. "Celebrate? Where?" "There's a really great club downtown called the Phillies three. It's supposed to be hoppin." "Hoppin? I don't know Emily. I'm stressed out enough on how I'm going to tell Scott about the baby." "Oh, come on! Please! It'll get your mind off it. Come on, it'll be fun... please." Eric smiled at her. "Oh, alright, but I'm not going to dance." "You don't have to dance." "No alcohol either." "Deal. Besides, it wouldn't be healthy in your condition." "Hmm. My condition."
