Chapter 8In the darkness, Henley jumped up in his seat, and under the blindfold, his eyes popped open. He’d fallen asleep again, sitting upright in his chair. That was weird. How could he fall asleep in this dire situation? In the last hours, he’d kept passing out for a few minutes, dreaming very lucid dreams before waking with a jolt. Visions of being in the house, of running down its halls, chasing Lucy, shouting after her to be careful, to wait for him. There had been a black dog, too.
