CHAPTER 12:The Byzantine Picture and Poseidon’s Trident
After eating in the canteen of the Theological Studies Department inside the campus, Telemachus leaves the premises. Since he has run out of money, he thinks about getting back home. However the possibility of policemen, and other unwanted strangers expecting him there, makes him change his mind. Firstly, he borrows some money from an old acquaintance and then goes to the central bus station of the city. He books a ticket to Missolonghi via Athens. He has a mild headache and feels strange, almost like waking up in the middle of a nightmare, and for a few moments the line is blurred between real and unreal.
