The next day, Kurt filled out paperwork to take out a loan at the Vaquera Bank. Having a lien on Eden House was the last thing he wanted, but unless he repaid Mrs. Nibbs, he’d lose everything one way or another. He found it hard to concentrate. He was still sore from taking Max and Sven, but he wished he could see them again. He also wished he could talk about his excitement. Erica was the best candidate.
