"Why me?" she asked, her voice trembling. "Why did the Moon Goddess choose me?"

Marsai stood there dumbfounded, staring at the triplets. All she ever wanted was a mate who would take her away from the family that hated her so much, not have anything to do with the boys who had bullied her all her life.

****

Marsai is the omega that no one wanted, abused by everyone in her pack and bullied at school, especially by the Alpha's triplets, who are also the star bad boys of the school and the head bullies.

All she wishes is to leave at 18. But the Moon Goddess makes that not easy. When she discovers on her 18th birthday that her mates are triplets, she is devastated. The triplets realize their mistake and plead with her not to reject them. Will she stick to her path, or change her plans and stay?

Chapter 1
Marsai: Today felt like it was going to be the best day of my life. I just knew it. At last, I had turned 18—the age when I would meet my mate! “Get ready, everyone! We’re about to begin!” I heard someone shout excitedly, making me freeze just as I reached the entrance of the grand hall. Slowly, I peered through the window, and my heart sank at the sight before me. The hall was breathtaking. It was elegantly decorated and filled with students swarming around towering piles of presents. Laughter and excitement filled the air, but sadly, none of it was for me. “Get the hell out of my way, freak! Girls like you don’t get birthdays,” a blonde girl sneered as she shoved past me, her shoulder slamming into mine hard enough to make me stumble. Of course. What was I even expecting? After all these years, no one had ever celebrated me, and this year wasn’t going to be any different. The bitterness I had grown used to rose in my throat, but I forced it down, clutching my bag tighter. I hurried past the crowd and made my way to my locker. Today was supposed to be different. It was the day everyone at Starlight Academy had been counting down to for months. Tonight, under the glow of the full moon, those of us who had just turned 18 would finally find our mates. It wasn’t just any day—it was a life-changing moment. My birthday coinciding with this monumental occasion made it even more special. For once, I let myself believe that something good might actually happen to me. But just as that flicker of hope sparked within me, it was snuffed out by a cold, mocking voice. "Who would ever want to be mated to someone as classless, worthless, and cursed as her?" I froze. I didn’t need to turn around to know who it was, but I did anyway, dreading what I’d see. “Right,” Zoe added, her eyes scanning me with a disgust that made my stomach churn. "She’s pathetic enough to think any wolf would want her." Aya and Zoe were my sisters. They stood at the center of the room, grinning as if they’d just said the funniest thing in the world. Their friends, always quick to follow their lead, laughed right along with them. I felt tears prickling at the corners of my eyes as my gaze dropped to the floor, wishing that the earth would just swallow me whole. All of a sudden, a high-pitched gasp shattered the moment. "Oh… my… goddess! Look at them! They’re freaking hot!" I found it unusual. The room started to buzz with excited whispers and hushed murmurs. Curiosity got the better of me, and I dared to lift my head just enough to see what was causing all the fuss. My heart sank the moment I saw them. The Alpha triplets: Ethan, Miles, and Navian. Every step they took down the hall sent waves of admiration rippling through the crowd. All around me, girls were practically falling over themselves, giggling and staring at them like they were gods among mortals. But to me? They were nothing short of a nightmare. I loathed them as much as I loathed every single person who had made it their mission to turn my life into a living hell. My eyes narrowed as I watched Aya sprint toward Ethan, pressing a kiss against his cheek. Ethan towered at 6’0 just like his brothers. With his jet-black hair and striking ocean-blue eyes, he was the kind of guy who made girls weak in the knees with just a glance. But ever since Aya became his girlfriend, she made sure no other girl dared to get close. I fought the urge to roll my eyes as Aya giggled like a lovesick teenager, pulling a perfectly wrapped gift from her bag and handing it to him. I briefly wondered if it was some sort of pre-mating gift. But just as that thought crossed my mind, my breath hitched in my throat. She pulled out a second gift, her beaming smile making me feel even worse. “Happy birthday, baby!" she chirped. Birthday? Wait… His birthday? How had I not realized? A surge of anger twisted in the pit of my stomach. Of all the people to share a birthday with, why did it have to be those three? “Oh, Aya, you’re such a sweetheart! I love you!” Ethan beamed like an i***t before pulling her in for a kiss. Their lips met, and the hall erupted with cheers and squeals. The sight of it made my skin crawl. Then there was Navian, the second triplet and the ultimate flirt. Unlike Ethan’s piercing blue eyes, Navian’s hazel ones sparkled with warmth and mischief, drawing people in with an effortless charm. Girls swarmed around him like moths to a flame, and honestly, who could blame them? He was an Alpha, after all. As if on cue, three girls rushed over, each handing him a gift. He smirked. His gaze then drifted lazily around the room as more girls clamored for his attention, holding their presents high in the hope of being noticed. “Oh, look who we have here…” Navian’s voice suddenly pierced my ears, his gaze locking onto me like a predator eyeing its next meal. The hall suddenly felt suffocatingly small. As much as I couldn’t deny his attractiveness, that didn’t change the fact that I loathed him with every fiber of my being. He sauntered closer, sending my heart into a frantic race. “Well, well, if it isn’t the omega freak!” “What do you want, Navian?” I asked, bracing myself for the humiliation that was sure to come. Ever since my sisters started dating the Alpha brothers, they’d made it their mission to taunt me at every opportunity. A smirk danced across Navian’s lips as he raised an eyebrow. “I know you’re just a poor freak who can’t even afford a gift, but wouldn’t it be nice if you at least wished your alpha princes a happy birthday?” Heat surged up my neck at his words, embarrassment flooding my cheeks. I clenched my jaw, forcing myself to meet his gaze.“I have nothing to say to you, Navian. Not like… you deserve anything good.” The words spilled out before I could stop them, and my heart raced as I turned to flee. But before I could escape, he grabbed my wrist with a grip that felt almost possessive. I could swear I felt a surge of energy ripple through me at his touch, but it vanished the instant he yanked me back to where he stood. “What did you say?” His voice dropped to a low, menacing growl. “Come on, Marsai, don’t be shy—say it again!” I could feel the stares of every student in the hall boring into me as I struggled against his grip. Pain shot through my wrist, but it paled in comparison to the humiliation of being put on display like this. “Let me go!” He grinned at me, a mocking smile that made my skin crawl. “Not until you repeat what you said, you filthy omega!” “Fi…ne,Navian” I muttered, my voice breaking with each word. “I said you don’t deserve anything good, okay? Just leave me alone!” With a sharp tug, I finally wrenched my arm free, my wrist burning as I stumbled back. He chuckled, and almost immediately, an eruption of laughter bubbled up from the crowd. I couldn’t understand what was so amusing about my humiliation, and it stung more than I cared to admit. “What the hell did you just say, Marsai?” Aya’s voice rang out as she stormed over, her eyes burning with disgust. Before I could even open my mouth, she grabbed my hair with such force it felt like my scalp was going to tear away. I gasped, trying to hold back the cry rising in my throat. Pain surged through me, but what hurt more was the humiliation. I hated that I was this weak in front of her, in front of all of them. From the corner of my eye, I saw Ethan approaching, his arms crossed tightly over his chest, watching us. For a second, hope sparked inside me. It was a tiny, desperate flicker that maybe, just maybe, he would stop Aya from hurting me. But no. Instead, his lips curled into a cruel smirk, clearly enjoying what was going on. “You really should know your place, Marsai.” He drawled, “You can’t act like that and expect to get away with it—especially not on our birthdays,” He said. Aya yanked my hair even harder, sending a sharp bolt of pain through my scalp, and I bit my lip to stop the cry threatening to escape. “Apologize to Navian, and I’ll let you go,” There was no way out. My pride screamed at me to resist, but I had no other option than to comply. “Navian, I—” “Just let her go, Aya. Can’t you see you’re hurting her?” A low, husky voice broke through the tension, causing Aya’s grip to ease slightly. I slowly turned my head to see Miles, the third triplet, standing there with his fists clenched.
