Familiar as I am with other Polish periodicals, it has been my great desire to come to know the Tygodnik Literacki [Literary Weekly] of Poznań, all the more so as news of it is constantly spreading through the Slavic lands — and this news is universally good. Eagerly then did I take it in hand as soon as a copy came my way, and I read through all the articles it contained. Nor was I disappointed: I am now convinced that Your periodical, which has as its aim the propagation of culture, and especially the betterment of domestic criticism, is well on its way to accomplishing its elevated goals.
