Ruth folds her arms across her chest, tapping her foot impatiently as she waits for a response from Adam. He stares at the wall sullenly, unable to bring himself to say anything to her.
She doesn't get an answer, as she sees him suddenly turn around and leave the room, pulling the door shut with so much force the baby flinches in fear. Ruth is left in wonder. What happened between them? Someone has to tell her what happened, or she is going to scream.
"Damn him!" Ruth picks Arianna up because she has started crying. "He has scared you, hasn't he?"
It takes her some time before she can successfully get her to calm down again. She sleeps immediately she stops crying, and Ruth puts her to bed. Then she searches for her phone and calls Lucy's number, trying to get an explanation from her.
