Kiara POV I stop tapping my fingers on the bench as the professor leaves the class. My gaze goes to the students who are leaving eagerly. "Hey Kiara, I'm going for lunch will you join me?" Greg asked me. I turn my head and look at him. "Sure, just give me a minute," I replied pushing my books in my bag. "Yup." "Let's go," I said standing up. We start walking towards the door. Kreo left early because he had to help Cyrus uncle in some business meeting. I don't mind being with Greg, he is one of the good people I ever met. He is fun to be with. "Did Kreo call you?" Greg asked. "No, he is busy." "Where do you wanna eat?" "Hmm," I think about it. "Let's eat in the cafeteria. The food in block 3 is really good," I tell him. "Okay, we can have our lunch there," he said. "What's in your mind?" he asked me. "I want to eat spaghetti," I said. "I will have the same," he said. I nodded my head positively. We wander towards the cafeteria. The whole hallways are busy. "Are you done with your exam preparation?" he asked. "Yeah, 90% is done," I replied. "Ugh! I need to start my preparation," he groaned making me laugh. "Don't worry I will help you out," I said patting his shoulder. "I know I could count you in," he said wrapping his arm around my shoulders. We enter the cafeteria. The cafeteria is filling with students. "Haha..." "Ugh, a long line. We need to wait," Greg said. "Yes, let's go and stand in the line," I say. We walk towards the line. Pick our plates, spoons and forks from the table. The line moves, I look around. "Xahira and Aubree aren't joining for lunch?" Greg asked. "Nope, they have a class right now." "Oh okay."  "Are you free this weekend?" Greg asked. I look at him. "I'm free on Friday," I tell him. "Let's go out on Friday," he said. "Okay, I want to explore places," I said.  "Done." Before we know it, it's our turn. Greg and I fill our plates then find a table in the middle. I settle down, Greg sits opposite me. I pick my fork and start eating. "Hmm... This tastes good," I say. "Yes, try the chicken. It's good too," Greg agrees eating his. I eat the chicken and nod my head loving the taste.  "Nico is still here?" he asked. "Nope I guess, he will be returning to London today," I said eating my spaghetti. "You are wrong," Greg said. I looked at him questioningly. "Ah?" "Nico didn't return to London," he said staring at something behind me. I turned around to see him having lunch with some lady. I felt a weird pang in my stomach, I watched him smile at the lady.  "I don't care. Maybe he is staying back," I said continuing eating my food. "Yup!" he said eating. Nico didn't see us yet but he will when we leave. But what is he doing in the university cafeteria? Why would he meet her here? "They also serving the ice cream," I said. "You want to eat ice cream?"  "Yes," I reply standing up. "Greg, you want anything?" I asked him. "Bring me what you are having, two scoops," he said. "Okay." I stand up and wander over to where the table is. I pick two bowls, choose the strawberry ice cream. I fill the bowls then go back to my table. The cafeteria is bustling, chatter everywhere. I place Greg's bowl before him and sit down. "Thank you."  "Where you wanna go tomorrow?" he asked. "Statue of Liberty and the other places probably," I tell him. "Good." When we are done with our food we stood up and started walking towards the exit. I saw Nico smiling at the lady before him as she was saying something. As we reached the table Greg held my hand. I looked at our hands in confusion before looking at him. "What are you doing?" "Ssh... Play along," he said. Greg was looking at someone. I turned my head front to see Nico glaring at me and Greg. I smiled at him and waved my hand but he just glared at me. Okay I rolled my eyes before pulling Greg with me. Even the lady turned around and looked at me with curiosity. "That man likes you," Greg said. "Not you too!" I said slapping his arm playfully. "I will drop you home," he said as we walk towards the parking lot. "Okay."  * "Bye Greg! See you tomorrow," I said closing the car door. "See you tomorrow Kia," he said smiling. I wander into the house, the house is quiet as no one is home yet. I make my way towards the upstairs. I went to my room and locked it. I changed into something comfy and took out my books. I have some work to be done, I opened my laptop and started working on my presentation.  Hours went on before Xahria walked in exhausted. "How was your day?" I asked her. "Exhausted man! Finally done with the project," she said. "How was yours?" she asked. "Good, Greg and I went out for lunch,' I say closing the books and turning in my chair to face her. "Oh...Oh..." "By the way didn't Nico went back to London?" I ask her. She pushed herself on elbows looking at me. "Nope, how did you know that?" She asked. "I saw him in the cafeteria," I said. She smirked. I raised a brow at him. "What?" "I don't know why he stayed back but he won't be returning. My parents are happy that he is staying here." "Oh..." I said turning around. "I can't wait to see my brother's sullen face," she said which made me groan. "Let's go down, I'm hungry!" she said. I stood up as it is dinner time. As I sat down beside Xahria, Nico sat in front of me. He has a scowl on his face. "Nico? didn't something happen?" Elora aunty asked. "Nothing Ma," he said and Xahria laughed. "Oh, mom Nico is jealous..." She said stressing over the last word. Elora aunty looked confused not understanding. Nico slapped Xahria's hand. "Ouch!" We started eating and talked about our college and exams. We all are going to Spain on Saturday as Kai's race is on Sunday. "Kiara, what are you doing tomorrow?" Elora aunty asked. "I'm going out with Greg, aunty," I said smiling. Xahria nudged me and I looked at her to see her looking at her brother. My head snapped to Nico who is looking at the food as if he is going to murder it. Xavier uncle was smiling to himself while Elora aunty and Xahria tried hard to control their laughs. "Greg is a good man, I don't have any problem if you go out with him," Xavier uncle said. "You could say he is my best friend now. He is fun to be with," I told him. "Invite him for a dinner sweety, I'm happy to meet Greg personally. I met in a few functions but never had a chance to talk with," Elora aunty said. "You won't invite him to dinner. He isn't allowed here," Nico said rather harshly. "Why? he is our friend and he is coming for dinner," Xahria said. "You stay quiet," Nico said to Xahria. "Then we will meet outside in a restaurant, we are free on Saturday Kiara. Invite him for dinner," Xavier uncle said looking at his son. "Dad!" "What?" Xavier uncle asked innocently. "Nothing." He said standing up but not before glaring at me. What did I do now? I was just going out with my friend and you got a problem with that? I glared at him back. "Forget about him, he never behaved like that. He is being furious nowadays," Elora aunty said looking at Nico's back. "He is just having those moody days and confused about things," Xavier uncle told. "I don't understand you boys," Xahria said. "Just like we don't understand you girls," Xavier uncle said. "So dad you are agreeing that you don't understand us?" Xahria questioned. Xavier uncle looked tongue twisted while we laughed. "Even you agreed that you don't understand us.l," Xavier uncle argued. Xahria rolled her eyes at that. "Don't roll your eyes, young lady."
