The Afghans dragged Jack to his feet, kicking at him, spitting on him, and laughing as they pulled him further away from the burning Residency and down to the maze of alleyways that was Kabul. Jack struggled, kicking out whenever he got the opportunity until Awalmir produced a length of cord. Eager hands tied Jack"s hands behind his back. Stifled behind his gag, Jack could only glare his hatred as the Heratis and Kabulis, spat and kicked at him, shouting a***e at the captured feringhee. The mob dragged him deeper into Kabul until he knew he could never find his way through the maze of narrow, filthy streets.
