Ryan's POV
“I don't think you should do that!” Connor interjected.
I didn't know why but I just felt the need to keep her alive and if it meant giving her an Alpha's blood so be it. I turned to face Luke who was still waiting for my instruction.
“What are you still waiting for? It's an order.” I stretched my hands to Luke.
“You've got to be kidding me!” Connor raised his hands in disapproval and walked away.
“You have to follow me to the laboratory,we can't do a blood transfusion here” Luke pointed to my now stretched hands.
I nodded and said that she would need two pints of my blood. After a couple of minutes he was done. I waited for him to come back and give me better news. Hours passed and still no sign of Luke.I didn't know how but I found myself dozing off.
“Alpha?” Luke tapped my shoulder.
My eyes fluttered open “Please tell me something good.” I sat upright from the iron chair.
I held my nose bridge and the smell of the alcohol in the hospital was getting to me.
“She is out of the red zone for now, but she will need surgery as soon as she wakes up.” He supplied.
“I thought my blood was supposed to wake her up and mend her bone or something?” I told Luke.
Luke's lip parted in surprise,I glared at him for that notion. He sighed then spoke up.
“It doesn't work that way, your blood just brought her back to life she would still need some necessary medical attention.” I nodded at his explanation.
“Can I see her?”
“Yes sir, but you wouldn't be able to enter the ward.”
“Whatever.” I followed him to the unit where Tasha was.
From the glass outside I could see Tasha on the bed with a heavy mask on and so many wires connected to her body. My heart twisted at the sight, Luke cleared his throat from behind me and I peered at him.
“Is she a rogue sir?” He asked.
For goodness sake, how many times am I going to tell them that she isn't a rogue.
“No,she is not a rogue.” I sighed.
“Then why on earth did she have those bruises and broken bones.” He murmured and I heard him clearly.
“She was attacked by rogues.” I answered him.
That should explain the bruises he saw on her.
“Yes, but the bruises are old and the broken bones aren't recent, definitely she must have been maltreated.” He narrated.
I turned to face Luke,I suddenly remembered how she said her mate rejected her.
Did he do this to her?
“Alpha, I think you should go home,I have everything covered here.” Luke pursued.
Luke was right,I could feel my knees aching already. It wouldn't do the pack any good if I got sick, not with the rogues messing around.I turned to look at Natasha one more time before leaving.
“Be careful with her.” I warned Luke in a stern tone.
“Yes Alpha.” He bowed and I walked away leaving the hospital to my house.
The harsh sound of my alarm woke me up,I could hear whispering and I knew my pack members were awake. I dragged my body out of the bed and went to take my bath and then prepared to attend to pack matters.
“Good morning Alpha!!” The children running around stopped their movement, bowed and greeted me as I walked towards the dinning.
“Good morning Alpha.” Susan the caretaker greeted.
“Good morning Susan.” She was a middle-aged woman.
I pulled a chair and took my seat. She then proceeded to serve me.I thanked her for the food. She was someone I respected a lot,she took it upon herself to make my meals. She was the only person who understood me after my mother.
“Whose children are those?” I pointed to the children running around.
Except for Connor,Dante,Liam, Xavier and Lisa that stayed with me no one else does and that's because they were still the one I trusted a little bit.
“They are my neighbor twins, she has a fever and wouldn't be able to take care of the kids. I'm really sorry if they bother you sir.” Susan apologized.
“No it's fine.” I assured her.
The chair screeched and I looked up to see Connor scowling. He took his seat at the opposite side, Susan served him before the rest joined in.
“Good morning Alpha.” Lisa, my younger sister greeted me.
“Good morning.” I replied.
“Heard you brought in a female rogue yesterday?”Dante, my Gamma asked.
I glared at Connor who looked away as soon as our eyes met, he was the one who fed them with the info.
“I don't think it's proper.” Liam, who was also my Gamma, spoke up.
Liam and Dante held the position of Gamma since the both of them were twins they were the fourth in command but they weren't identical. Xavier who was the quiet of us all was my Delta the third in command while Connor was the second in command.
“She isn't a rogue.” I ground out. “She has a pack in fact she belongs to the Silver Claw Pack that was where I met her.” I turned to face Connor.
“I met her at the club, the one you asked me to go to.”
His mouth fell open,he wanted to say something but I beat him to it. “You should trust my judgment Connor.”
With that everyone continued eating I could feel the pang of guilt coming from Connor,I could feel it through the pack bond.
“Is she going to make it?” Lisa asked.
“I hope so.” I answered.
Thankfully Connor didn't tell them about me giving her my blood. We continued with our food Dante was talking to Lisa about her leftovers when Connor’s phone rang loudly he picked it up, he suddenly stood up from the chair which made all of us alerted.
“What's the matter?” Lisa questioned.
“There's been an attack!” He answered nervously.
