Hunter’s POV: I see her. There down the corridor, I can see my Shadow Girl as if I’ve imagined her into being just by thinking about her. She looks around wildly, and I can see tears in her eyes that seem to hold an infinite sadness. People move around the two of us but no one notices her. That’s when I notice her properly. People seem to be able to walk through her, almost as if she’s made of shadow. But she keeps looking around wildly until her eyes settle on me. “HUNTER!” Her shout echoes through the corridor but no one responds. She runs towards me slightly, people passing through her like she’s nothing more than tangible smoke. An illusion. I turn around fully and see a spark of hope in her eyes. Why does she look at me like that? She who looks to be made of nothing more than smoke
