💋 Stuck between the Beverly brothers 💋
Chapter 1
Deep in the forest, a bungalow could be seen.
Inside the house was a girl seated on a chair in front of a table, scribbling things down in her diary.
One could easily conclude she's dumb cause of the way she looked and react.
She neither talked nor laugh but her emotions were shown through tears.
Tears that haven't raced down her cheeks for years.
Seated on a couch was a woman and a man, the girls parents.
They sat with hurt etched all over their face as they stared at their daughter.
"she's still in shock for all these years " the woman said with a cracking voice.
"she hasn't said a single word since the incident " the man added.
One could see right through their hearts that it held pains.
They were very hurt cause part of it was their fault that their daughter is this way.
They owed a very rich dangerous man a huge sum of money and were unable to pay.
The man gave them limited time to r****d the money but they couldn't and the man was forced to kill their only son in front of the girl.
The incident happened right in front of her eyes and as her brother was shot dead, she lost all the reason to live.
She was shocked, she was numb and couldn't believe her only brother was dead.
Because of this, her parents relocated here, deep in the forest where no one could find them or so they thought.
They had to protect their only child from the monster they borrowed money from.
Carly, their only daughter who they ought to protect seems dead from the inside but they won't give up on her.
They'll try everything in their power to bring her back to her normal self.
It was nighttime already and Carly stood beside her window in her room, looking up at the stars.
She hardly sleeps, she spends most of her days scribbling things in her diary and her nights, staring at the sky.
Her door flew open with so much force that one would know something was wrong but she wasn't the least bothered about it.
She didn't turn to even look at the person who had barged into her room.
"Carly " her mother called, gasping for hair.
She went to her front and shook her vigorously.
"you have to leave here, you have to run " her mother said with tears.
Carly knew something was off and her heart started pounding hard in her chest as the thought of what had happened to her brother rushed into her head.
Her chest rose and fell and her mother could see she was scared.
"they found us, you have to run away, run " her mother pleaded but it was like she was talking to a statue.
Carly neither moved nor responded but one could see the pain and fear in her eyes.
The pain of loosing her parents like she lost her brother.
The man the parents owed money had earlier told them to exchange their daughter for the money and that was why they came to live deep in the forest, hoping they wouldn't be found but they were found anyway.
"Carly I'm talking to you " the mother yelled, frustrated at her daughter's behaviour.
She pushed open the window and signaled her to jump down then run.
"run "she yelled but Carly showed no response.
"please run " she pleaded in tears.
For the first time in years, tears streamed down Carly's cheek and she hugged her mom.
Her mom felt her daughter one last time and ordered her to run through the window.
A gun shot was heard and Carly knew right away that her dad was gone.
She picked up her diary and held it to her chest.
She looked at her mom one last time and when her mom turned her back on her, she ran off with speed.
She wasn't far from their house when another gunshot was heard.
She knew she had to survive for her parents.
They had done everything in their power to save her and she's not gonna just die like that.
She's the only one remaining in the Marshall's family.
She took on her heels and ran.
She doesn't even know her way round the forest cause she never comes out.
She was claded with a big gown that covered her toes.
She was petite in stature, brunette with light brown eyes.
She ran till she got to main road.
Her eyes wandered everywhere as she took in the look of the outside world.
Since her brother was killed, she had never stepped her feet outside and it feels new to her.
She jumped in fear when she heard a car honk.
She staggered in the middle of the road as cars find their way to their destination without hitting her.
It was already nighttime but there were street lights.
She heard someone scream behind her and she turned just in time for a car to pass right beside her, sliding past her gown.
The car came to an halt at the corner of the road after steadying the car that almost ran into someone.
He inhaled and exhaled then looked back to see the girl he had almost ran over.
He alighted from his car and walked to the girl.
He pulled her from the road and dragged her to a corner.
"do you wanna kill yourself " he yelled, already pissed off at what could've happened if he had hit h
