Chapter Twenty-Four Pt 2

900 Words

In the dark cellar she had been in for…who knows how long, really, it felt like an eternity. Was she truly in hell at this point? They were demons, right? They had to be. They were terrifying and enjoyed inflicting pain on whoever was in the cells beside her. The cries of suffering were the stuff of nightmares, only real. She learned to sleep without having dreams since she was used to it all by now.    Whoever was recently in the cement cell beside her recently was either gone, dead, or out of whatever energy was needed to suffer aloud. The last time her neighbor made an agonized groan was about two days ago and whenever they dropped food off to her, they only brought one tray, so they were starving the poor soul out or they were leaving the corpse to rot before they disposed of it.
