The sisters and I are back in the secret dungeon underneath the castle which people have no idea of. I was called in the middle of the night, during one of my zoned-out, which by the way, got Millicent looking at me weirdly before I had to explain to her that yes, sometimes, Vampyrs go into this silent state where we don’t move at all and just stand like we are frozen.
I guess it can be equivalent to when bats just hang upside down on the ceilings, wrapping their wings around their body. Though most of us are tired of being compared to that animal. When Malorie says the breaking news, my mind immediately goes into defense mode.
Whatever that is going to happen now, I guess I just have to survive as best as I can.
