Chapter 1

Life is so beautiful. I feel that everyone in this world should be happy. Because life is short. If you don't enjoy whatever you have in life, then you will never be able to value it.

Seeing other people happy in life, it shouldn't make you jealous but try to make sure you are content with what you have.

You have to respect everything you have in your life, only then you will realize how much happier you are then the others.

I was happy too, in my own little world until he came...

In my little happy world it was just me and my grandmother. This was our little happy family, only the two of us.

My name is Sofia, my grandmother said that when I was born my mother died immediately after. She had a serious disease. Because of that her body was too weak to be pregnant with me.

The doctor said that she should not be pregnant, he suggested that she should abort me. But my mother loved me too much to do that, so she made the doctor promise not to tell her husband, my father.

No one knew about her weakness.

My father loved my mother so much that he couldn't bare her sudden death and died immediately after.

My grandmother was the one who bought me up.

She was my everything.

"Sweetheart! Get up you are going to be late for school!" Grandmother making breakfast for me in the kitchen.

Mmm! Delicious smell of food made me immediately get up from bed.

What a nice day to start with, "I am getting ready grandma, I am hungry too." I also added to make her realize I need food as soon as I come downstairs. I could hear her happy laugh hearing me complaining childishly.

"Haha! You are always hungry, now brush your teeth quickly and come to the breakfast table."

"I am coming just a moment." Sofia entered the bathroom to shower.

Grandmother was smiling this girl is never going to change. When she will die, who will take care of her precious Sofia. When she will learn to take care of herself?

She was still a child. If she doesn't take care of herself who will do it? She was so worried about Sofia.

There has to be someone who will always love her, respect her and then marry her.

She wants to see Sofia married, have babies and live happily with her loving husband.

Grandmother signed deeply, but this was not possible. Because this girl didn't even love anyone let alone marry a man. She doesn't even date. Just always comes home quickly just to accompany her home wanting to spend time with her old grandmother.

This thing has always made her frustrated, when she will learn to let a man into her life.

Maybe she was a little scared to get hurt in love, her little Sofia was always conscious about the people around her because of what happened to her parents. But it was past, she will have to move on.

She is a very brave girl, always fighting back against who is wrong.

A sweet nature girl who always help people. Even if they don't even consider her friendship, she ignores their hatred and loved them back.

This thought made grandmother's eyes water in sorrow. She is a lonely child with no parents beside her to bless her good luck.

She just graduated. She is the top scholarship student in her school. It made her proud of her little Sofia.

Such a good girl, never demands to have anything expensive or luxurious. She is always happy with simple clothes.

It was her graduation ceremony, but she couldn't buy her Sofia an expensive dress for the graduation party.

All the students in her school is really rich and their families were from rich backgrounds. Only she was the one who was poor among them.

She wanted her Sofia to be happy too. She wanted to give her expensive things just like those rich girls in her school. She wanted to spoil her sweet Sofia.

But Sofia was not like other spoiled kid, she was always happy with little. She never complained about anything. Never argue with her. She was always an obedient child.

My darling child. You have suffered so much. One day you will find someone who will love you immensely too. Grandmother wiped the tears from her eyes not wanting to let Sofia see them or else she will be very upset.

Meanwhile, Sofia was getting ready for her graduation ceremony. She was really excited about the whole thing. Finally, she finished her school getting amazing grades. Now she will be able to find a very good job to support her little family.

She wore the white sparkling dress her grandmother bought for her. It was so beautiful she was already in love with it.

After doing her makeup not much but little, she loves it natural. She twirls around to see her beautiful dress in front of the mirror.

She felt like she was a princess. A princess of her own beautiful little world.

"Grandma, how do I look?" Sofia come to the kitchen running. Gran smiled at me when she noticed that I was wearing the dress she bought for me.

"Sweetheart, you look so beautiful, like a princess." Grandma complement me.

I started to jump in happiness and hugged her tightly.

"Really! I know it would look so beautiful on me, I love this dress. It's so beautiful. Thank you so much, grandma."

"Now, sit down I will serve you the delicious breakfast you love." She was just about to bring food but I stopped her than made her sit on the chair. Without letting her work more I bought all the dishes on the table to help her.

"Darling, you just sit down, let me work." she tried to get up from her chair as I was serving her food.

"No! You made breakfast now I will serve my most beautiful grandma."

She laughed as I was trying to impress her.

"Ok... Ok." She sits in her place obediently while I served both of us.

"Grandma, you will come to my graduation party, right?" I asked her feeling unsure.

Grandma was silent. As if she was thinking of something, Was anything troubling her? Was she thinking how to refuse me? No, I won't let her...

"Come on grandma, I want you to be there with me. But it's ok, if you don't want to come." I pretend to look sad, so she will agree to me immediately.

"My sweet, you know how much old I have become, I am too weak to walk to your school. I also need to see the doctor. But I will try."

I looked up at her smiling, at least she will try. But I still felt sad because I really wanted her there. Every students parent will be there to support their children but I will have no one to support me.

We had breakfast together while I kept talking about my friends and about my future plans with my grandma. Grandma always made me delicious food. I just couldn't get enough of it. It was so tasty and delicious.

"Sweetheart hurry up or else you will be late."

"It's ok, gran. I will not be late." After I finished breakfast i kissed her lightly on her cheek.

Wearing my heels, I hugged, "Ok, grandma I am leaving. Take care of yourself."

"Sweetheart, always remember that I love you, and I am so proud of you." She hugged me tightly.

I smiled at her widely, she really loved me do much.

"Thank you so much. Alright I have to go or else I will be late. Bye grandma."

"Bye sweetheart."

With that I left.

The streets were so busy. This is the problem of big cities, they become so busy with life. They forget to live small happiness in life.

Are we really happy with our busy life? Don't you think we should consider the people who live around us to be happy and in peace?

The children's were playing happily. They looked so cute. Only a little makes them happy.

Seeing them laughing, I felt myself smiling too.

"Sofia!" Someone called me from behind.

I look behind to see it was one of my friend, Lisa, she lives in my neighbor.

I smiled widely, greeting her, "Hi, How are you?"

"I was waiting for you here. Come on, let's go together." She offered.

We kept talking about how exciting it was going to be in the ceremony.

As I was about to cross the road to walk towards the direction of bus station, to catch the bus I started to run towards the street.

Out of nowhere a car was coming towards me with full speed but before it could run over me, it stopped and luckily I was still alive. Because of the sudden shock I fall into the ground hurting myself in the process.

My friend Lisa immediately run towards me to help me get up from the ground.

My heart beat was still beating so fast, I felt like I was going to die. Why did it turned out this way? Who cursed me today?

"Wow! Sofia, look! This car is so expensive! The owner must be really rich. I will make him mine!" My friend was too busy to admire the luxurious car to see my injuries.

"What are you talking about?" I was so angry and seriously done with her! What do I do with this girl? Whenever she sees someone rich she forgets about the world!

I felt angry towards the driver. How could he be so careless? But the driver come out of the car to apologize looks like these rich people still had some humanity left in them.

I thought the driver come out of the car to apologize but,"Ma'am, please step away of the car, My Lord has to leave immediately, so please apologize to him carefully, so he will forgive you."

What? What in the world..? His owner said that it was my fault that I wasted his precious time? How arrogant!

It's not even my fault.

How dare he!

"How could you blame me! I didn't come here to die! I just wanted to attend my graduation ceremony!" I was so angry, and ready to fight anyone who will say that it was my mistake.

The driver didn't dare to contact his eyes in her, he just looked down.

What did I do wrong?

Shit! I don't have time for this nonsense. We were getting late.

I noticed that my knee was also bleeding a little.

Wow! Great! Just amazing! Everyone will laugh at me now for being stupid.

"Come on, let's leave. They are too stupid to even apologize!" I shouted at the car owner trying to make sure he hears me and at least feel embarrassed of himself.

Suddenly a hand come out of the car window, the car owner was indicating towards the driver to come close to him. The driver immediately vow and listened to what he had to say.

"Oh my! What a manly personality! I want marry him, Sofia." Lisa started to jump in happiness as I narrowed my eyes at her stupid behavior.

"Marry him? Seriously! Maybe he probably a 70-year-old grandpa who is a king." I joked with her.

She immediately made a cringed face, it made me laugh so hard. At least now I didn't felt depressed by the accident.

As we were about to leave. The driver run towards us to say something and immediately vow in respect. I was a little surprised by the change of his behavior.

"Ma'am, it was my fault. Please, forgive me, I request you to get inside the car. My Master wants to drop you to wherever you want to go."

Huh! What is this all about?

I was confused. They finally admitted their mistake that quickly. It made me more suspicious about the owner. Does he have some bad intention towards us?

Oh, God!! We should immediately run from here before something more tragic happens to me.

"No thanks! Tell your owner that he doesn't own me, so I will never listen to him."

I turned around to leave. I never realized that a man got out of the car.

"You can tell me that yourself." A very sexy and deep voice called me from behind.

I turned around to see a man in his twenties, no! A Handsome man was standing right behind me.

He was really muscular and big. His whole body was filled with muscles. He was wearing an expensive suit.

He walked right in front of me,"Maybe I do own you." His voice was so deep and cold like iceberg that I started to feel more nervous around him.

"What?" I asked him. What did he mean by that? I suddenly realized what he meant. He just said that he owned me. He didn't own me! How dare he!

I felt more angry towards the man in front of me. I wanted to say so many things to him but did not dare to look up at him.

"Sofia, look how he is looking at you." Lisa whispered in my ear.

He was insanely handsome, but he had no manners as he kept looking up and down at my body hungrily as if he was ready to swallow me whole. Why was he looking at her this way? He was making her feel more insecure.

He was eating me with his eyes. The way he was staring at my body made me want to hide myself.

I was biting my lower lip hard nervously, his lusty eyes followed my action. He slowly licked his soft pink lips making my eyes widen in surprise.

The way he was looking at my exposed neck than down to my exposed breasts made me feel unknown sensation, I felt hot under his shameless gaze on my exposed skin.

I never had this kind of experience before.

It was so strange...

I felt completely naked in front of him.

I was not the type of person to be quiet just because he was some rich person. As I was about to open my mouth to teach him a good lesson, my friend stopped me.

"Don't you dare misbehave with him, Sofia! He is Declan King. The famous, handsome multi-billionaire successful business man. He literally owns the country! Don't make him angry." She whispered in my ear.

What! Declan King! I knew him. I mean I heard his name but never saw him in person. No one saw him in person. He was a king of this country.

Oh, God!! What is going to happen to me now? Was he going to kill me? Everyone in this country knew who he was exactly and what he was capable of. I should have been more careful.

"I will take you to your graduation ceremony." He had this seduction tone in his voice. There is no way I was going with this man. It was too dangerous to be near him.

"It's alright, we will take the bus." I tried to act brave in front of him. But the look in his eyes made me feel more intimidated by him. He was daring me to say another word against his wish.

"Let's go!" With that my dear loyal friend went to sit next to the driver waiting for me to get inside too. I can't believe she was actually relaxed around this man and trusted him immediately.

While he was staring at me but there was something in his eyes I can't describe in words.

It scared me...
