A Strange Pull

Lovech Kingdom   Feeling her jaw clenching in anticipation the hardened teeth started to bother her now bleeding gums, Reyna was ready to jump onto the stupid guard and rip his throat out, rip him apart from limb to limb as the image of watching his blood drip from his bones… Reyna licked her lips in agreement. Inching forward to get ready to fight with the intentions of death, there was a heavy hitting voice that called out among the chaos. "WHAT THE f**k ARE YALL DOING!" Hearing deepness behind words that were crawling from what seemed like a dark place, those words made Reyna’s body tense up as her high temperature lowered in terror.  Feeling sweat coming down the forehead, Reyna moved her head to look to her right and saw the man who saved her miserable life from death…  Dragnior as he was coming through the doors of the dining hall where the kitchen staff were working standing around with plates in hand.  Looking at his handsome face wrinkled up in madness, anyone could see the anger that he was expressing right now.  Slowly lowering her eyes to look at the ground that laid beneath her, Reyna knew that she messed up once she heard how heavy his footsteps were. "WHO THE f**k ARE YOU TO BE FIGHTING IN MY PALACE!" Reyna flinched and sighed as she knew that Dragnior was addressing her. Reyna moved her eyes to look up at Dragnior as she watched his green eyes turn the shade of gold... Just like how Zahn's did. What do those eyes mean...? "I-I... I'm sorry." Reyna pleaded "HUMPH! She needs to say more than a 'I'm sorry' to you, Your Highness. She scared the Young Prince and even tried to kidnap him. That woman should pay for her crimes!" The old woman yelled out Immediately moving her eyes up to glare at the old nagging woman while clenching her teeth, Reyna felt disgusted that she could even think such a thing.  "How dare you accuse me of trying to kidnap or hurt my own son!" Reyna yelled The old woman heart jumped in her own skin  as she was taken aback by the strong voice from Reyna’s statement before shaking out of her shock and now glaring back at Reyna.  "He is not your son you i***t! He is the King's son!" Reyna heart dropped.  Of course he isn't my son... No one can replace the blood that I carried in my stomach for 7 months. No one can replace the song I used to sing to my unborn son as I rubbed my stomach with faith that he would be just like me in the future. No one can replace the blood that I tried to pick up from the floor hoping that if I put the blood back in my stomach Feeling tears in her eyes, Reyna opened her mouth to speak but quickly closed it. "Take this dumb ass woman back to her room and keep her there for a week so that she can get the f**k out of my sight! NOW!" Dragnior yelled Looking up at the guards through her tearful eyes, Reyna could not see their bones or the excessive colors that their veins showed anymore. "PLEASE do not grab me. I promise to follow you, just don't touch me." Reyna asked The guards looked at each other before they looked at me and nodded their heads. Nodding my head at the mutual agreement, I began moving my legs to walk, when suddenly my legs gave out horribly. My consciousness started to fade in and out as I looked down at the legs that laid on the floor. But as I looked at my legs, I noticed that my brown skin looked cracked and painful, like my body was a doll whose legs were cracking under the pressure of receiving too much heat.  The nerves in my head started going off as I then started to feel itchy just looking at my legs.  My heart began pumping irregular again as I started to panic in fear of suffocating myself once more. Goosebumps appeared all throughout my body and my nerves couldn't handle the sight.  Seeing my vision dim out slowly as it seemed like the lights were getting darker by the second, I was now scared for my life as I kept staring at my legs. But the sight of my ugly legs only lasted a few seconds as I felt my vision turn black and my body give out by itself. ... "What the hell happened here Ms. Syrah?" Dragnior asked while looking at the old lady The older woman glared back at him as she didn't know why Dragnior could bring such a disrespectful woman into the palace and not kill the woman on sight after knowing that she hurt his only heir to the Throne! "Ask that b***h of a woman who was just standing here!" Ms. Syrah yelled Dragnior sighed in annoyance.  All of his staff today have been out of line with him over this woman, why can't everyone just accept that he chose to let her stay here?! And why can't this woman stop causing problems between him and his people?! Getting tired of the disrespect, Dragnior extended his hand with the dragon blood running through his veins as he moved his right hand to grab the small neck of Ms. Syrah.  Ms. Syrah widened her eyes in shock as Dragnior gripped his fingers around her neck harshly.  "That b***h of a woman is the former Queen of the Red Crest Kingdom and the other half of my life." He spat at Ms. Syrah "Disrespect her again and I will MAKE SURE TO KILL YOU!"  Yelling out his anger at Ms. Syrah as Ms. Syrah wrapped her hands around Drangior's hand as she tried to make his hand looser around her poor little neck, Dragnior threw Ms. Syrah across the room in disgust.  Rolling his eyes at Ms. Syrah's shocked face, he couldn't help but slightly also be thankful for her.  She did defend my son when she felt like there was a problem occurring. But why would there be a problem? Glaring over at his son, Zahn looked up at Dragnior with sadden eyes and what seemed like a frown. "I'm sorry daddy. I didn't mean to get her in trouble. I was scared of Ms. Syrah finding me and taking me away from mom that I ... I..." Zahn began crying tears "I didn't treat her nicely did I daddy? I didn't treat mommy nice." Watching Zahn pour down tears about his behavior towards the woman that he claimed as his mother, Dragnior smiled as he saw the care in his son's eyes. Care that only happens when there's a connective emotion expressed between an Empyreal Dragon and another party. "It will be fine. But for now, you need to go to your bedroom and rest. I will handle everything else." Dragnior explained to his son Zahn nodded his head as more drops fell down his face. Zahn then turned his body around to return to his bedroom with the presence of 3 guards surrounding him as he walked away. Rubbing his wrinkled forehead, Dragnior blew out a deep breath before once again looking over to Ms. Syrah who laid on the ground holding her neck as she was still shocked at Dragnior's previous words. "Do you mean that, you really gave her the blood of the Empyreal Dragon?!" Ms. Syrah shouted as her pale skin was now becoming red as anger filled her chubby cheeks. Ms. Syrah has been serving Dragnior for 20 years as an assassin hired for the protection of him and Zahn. Seeing Zahn harmed in any sort of manner triggers a survival cue in her brain making her defensive and ready to attack at all costs. Dragnior nodded at Ms. Syrah in reply to her question. Ms. Syrah shook her head in shock and disagreement. She's never met someone who was so unprepared to receive the blood of a dragon until she met that strange woman who is now the other half of her Master. "Please explain to me Master, why did you give her your blood? The blood of the ancient dragon? The blood that keeps you alive?!" Ms. Syrah shouted Dragnior glared at her with his gold eyes showing, notifying her to watch her mouth or her head would be the next thing served on the dinner plate. Ms. Syrah straightened her back and coughed out her fear. Swallowing her dislike for the strange woman, she put on a fake smile and said nothing more. "That woman, she's... different. She has something that pulls me to her." Dragnior said as he placed his index finger on his upper lip in question What does that woman have that has been pulling me to her? Being lost in his thoughts, Ms. Syrah watched him in awe as she couldn't believe her eyes.  Master, the man that she's been serving for 20 years, was actually standing up to her over some strange woman? Ms. Syrah chuckled to herself before her eyes widened as she remembered something terrible. "Master!" Ms. Syrah called out Dragnior removed his hands from his face and looked over to her. "About the wom..." "Reyna." Ms. Syrah was taken back by his sudden name calling. "R-Reyna?" She questioned "That is the strange woman's name, Reyna." Ms. Syrah nodded. "Well when 'Reyna' was angry earlier, her skin was smoking sir." Dragnior's ear perked up at this message. "Smoking you say?" Ms. Syrah nodded her head. She knows a smoking human being when she sees one, since she raised the Young Master and has seen his dragon transformations enough to know that the Young Master skins tend to let off smoke from the high temperature of his body. Dragnior smirked at the conversation.  Has the woman subconsciously managed to try and transform into a dragon without realizing that she is one? "Also sir, she was mumbling words under her breath, something about seeing the blood cells in the arm of the guard moving through his veins. I don't think she realized that she was saying the words out loud, but I heard them all." And she has a keen eye sight already as well?! Dragnior thought as he looked at Ms. Syrah in surprise.  This woman was different alright. Dragnior didn't even think that the woman would survive death after receiving the dragon's blood. The dragon's blood is way too powerful for a normal human to handle, which is why from personal knowledge Dragnior knew that humans can't survive death even with dragon's blood in their system.  But how the hell did this woman manage to do it? Stuck in awe from hearing about this woman, that probably explained why she passed out in front of them. She tried to transform without any proper build to her body.  Well that's going to have to change.  This woman is going to need the training to develop her dragon body without damaging her human body. "Ms. Syrah!" Dragnior called out Ms. Syrah looked at Dragnior with her skin showing goosebumps as Dragnior's sudden loud voice scared her. "After her week of her being put away, you are going to teach her how to kill." Drangior said smiling Ms. Syrah shuddered as there have only been 2 situations where Dragnior ever smiled. The day his son was born, and the day he murdered an entire kingdom in cold blood just for the fun of it. Dragnior's Office "But Your Majesty, how do we know if we can trust this woman?!" As Dragnior's green eyes glanced over at his disrespectful butler and second in command for speaking out of terms with him, his green eyes slowly turned the color of gold as anger began to overtake his mind and emotions. "Who the hell are you to question what I do in my OWN HOME!" Dragnior yelled as he threw the papers clouded his beautiful wooden desk into the face of the butler. The butler stopped his movement and a little bit of his breathing as he felt dangerously threatened. In all his years of working under him, he had never seen Dragnior be one to yell or throw objects. "I-I-I am s-sorry sir. It will not happen again." The butler bowed to him with his eyes staying on the ground below Dragnior sneered looking at the butler.  I must have spoiled this dumb ass half breed rotten for him to speak up to me, Dragnior thought to himself as he could feel a sudden strange presence shaking his eternal being to the core. That woman is finally up and moving around huh, Dragnior questioned as he remembered what this strange presence was. It was the same feeling he felt when he found the woman in front of the Red Crest palace as she was bleeding out horribly. The woman's beautiful body was torn the shreds by the blade of a sword, the injuries were obvious. But what wasn't obvious was why the woman was bleeding between her legs. Dragnior furrowed his eyebrows as he remembered that day perfectly as his mind started to flash into the memories that it stored in the back of his brain.   ... Scared as his dragon blood began to react as he looked at the woman, the blood running through his veins were rushing the blood to his teeth making his teeth extract by themselves at the sight of her.  His body slowly became more muscular as the blood of the 2,000 year old held ancient powers behind the circular red blood cells. Feeling a certain something in the lower region of his body, Dragnior knew that this woman held something special.  Why wouldn't she? She was making a 2,000 old ancient dragon feel like he could shift into his dragon at this very second, just by looking at her. "Daddy, this woman. She... she gave me a name! Zahn she called me! She gave me a name!" Dragnior's son yelled out in front of him as he was shifted into his tiny dragon form Dragnior smiled at the memory of his son being so happy at finally receiving a name. He knew that they needed to save her because there was something about her that his human eyes couldn't see, but maybe his dragon eyes could. The price of saving the life of a human on the verge of death is high, but equal. For equality within laws helped the laws stay intact... Dragnior used one of his extended teeth to cut a s***h in his hand. The s***h bled deeply and the blood rushed out automatically like it was called to appear. "Zahn, open her mouth." Dragnior said as he accepted the name that the dead woman gave his son The son nodded his head as he slowly began to shift from a little dragon to a little boy. Wasting no time because he too wanted to save this woman, Zahn opened the woman's mouth and Dragnior squeezed the blood from out of his hand and into the woman's mouth. The human body even on the verge of death reflectively still allows the body to swallow if something is placed onto the tongue, causing the woman to swallow the blood as Dragnior kept squeezing the blood out of his hand. ...   Drangior sighed as he cut the memory short. "You said that you don't know if we could trust her right?" The butler nodded his head yes but gained a confused face. "Well we have no choice but to trust her... for I gave her some of my blood." The price of saving the life of a human on the verge of death is high, but equal. For equality within laws helped the laws stay intact. For the price of helping death is to give half of your life to save the life of the human...     Reyna's Bedroom  Hearing the sounds of birds singing in joy, Reyna could feel her body's consciousness waking up from it's passed out state. Opening up her grey eyes, her eyes took a second to adjust to the sudden change in environment as she was no longer in the dining hall. Looking at the familiar marble white color ceiling, Reyna sighed deeply as her heart started thumping. As soon as her body fully woke itself up, Reyna's body felt heavy once more; she could feel pain cast itself over her within minutes of her body fully awakening. "Oww!" Reyna has never been one to address how much pain she was in, but her body had different plans for her. Feeling her legs swelling up and her stomach curl in pain, Reyna decided to sit up slowly and look down first to see how bad her legs looked. Reyna frowned in disgust at the horrible sight.  Reyna legs contained the colors of blue and purple crawling itself up her leg as she didn't get to treat the painful sight. "Just my luck." Reyna mumbled to myself as she felt her stomach rumble and caving in as hunger filled her body As she swallow some saliva to try and replace food, it only made her stomach cave in more from hunger. Making another disgusted face in place of pain, Reyna moved her arm away from her legs and onto her stomach to try and rub it back to health. Her body was a mess and so were the internal organs as she struggled to keep her stomach at bay with the sudden whale noises. "M-Miss...?" Hearing a voice calling out to her, Reyna looked up from her broken legs and dying stomach to the most perfect little boy, Zahn.  Standing at the doorway of the bedroom, Zahn began moving his little body over  Smiling at Zahn, he came closer to her with a basket in his small hands. "I-I am sorry. I didn't hear you answer w-when I knocked on the door, so I j-j-just came in." Zahn spoke with puppy dog eyes pouting with sadness behind his eyes "I-I didn't mean to get you in trouble. I was just scared that Ms. Syrah would punish me."  Aww... He came to say his I'm sorrys...  "Ms. Syrah?" Reyna questioned as she looked at his sad face He nodded his head and looked down at the ground. "Ms. Syrah is my private nanny, she's the one you saw earlier in the dining hall. She protects me from danger." "Oh." Was all Reyna could manage to say through her teeth I am happy that he is alright, but as that old woman Ms.Syrah said, Zahn is not my son Zahn. Feeling my heart strings try to pull apart at the fact of that, Reyna managed to smile at the young boy.  I can't force him to replace that baby that I wanted all my life, he is NOT my son... he is NOT my son. She kept trying to convince herself as she forced her smile. "Please, tell me what are you here for?" Reyna asked Zahn "Oh! I came to give you food. We went to the dining hall to eat but we never ate. So Daddy told me to come bring you some food. To make up for not treating you nicely earlier." "Daddy?" Reyna questioned Zahn nodded his head "The King. Dragnior." Reyna mouth opened in shock. Why the hell didn't I piece all of this together?! Of course Zahn is Dragnior's son. Evidence was right there in my face and I acted stupid as I didn't understand it.  Closing her mouth trying not to seem so surprised, Reyna motioned for him to come closer to her. Zahn brought the basket in his hand closer to the bed as he reached his hand in and grabbed out some bread and fruits. Watching him take the food out of the basket, I reached my hand out to receive the food that he so bravely brought me.  Placing the food he handed her onto the bed so she could look into his soft innocent eyes again, Reyna quickly dropped the food and looked up at him. "A-Are you mad are me?" Zahn asked when our eyes met "NO! Of course not! I am not mad at you Zahn... I just... before you and King Dragnior found me..." Reyna hesitated not knowing if she should tell him the truth.  Biting her lower lip in question, Reyna decided to speak on the harsh reality of her life. Even though this may be something that that a child shouldn't hear, he wouldn't be able to understand unless he knew.  "I was once a Queen. A Queen who was supposed to have a son with the same name as you," Reyna stopped for a second as she could feel tears falling down her face "He was supposed to be born, but I couldn't save him. I couldn't save him, so he is no longer here in this world." Reyna finished now completely breaking down now Zahn watched with sorrow in his eyes as there were also some tears forming in his small brown eyes. Taking a deep breath, Reyna looked into Zahn's eyes and she could feel something pulling her to him trying to comfort him.  Zahn could smell it... sadness, hatred but the most emotions he could smell was guilt. Guilt was eating Reyna alive for not being able to protect her unborn son. I guess that explains why would Zahn and Dragnior found her, she was bleeding in-between her legs with her stomach exposed and open.  With the dragon's blood in Zahn beginning to take its form, Zahn began to release his dragon hormones subconsciously as he could feel the pain that Reyna was feeling.  Something pulling her to understand what emotions he was feeling right now. Reyna was sure that Zahn felt the pull too as he began walking closer and closer to the bed with both of his arms out as he was now fully crying along with her. Grabbing his little body that waddled to me with tears, Reyna pulled him into a huge bear hug as we cried together. As Zahn's grip around my neck became stronger, she began to forget what she was crying about. Sniffing to stop her running nose and blinking her eyes to clear the tears away, Reyna noticed that her crying slowed itself down. Pulling her head away from the hug to see Zahn, gazing into Zahn's eyes, Reyna noticed they went from brown to the gold color that they like to change to.  Usually Reyna would be crept out and scared of this sudden change, but right now she only had the urge to tell him that it's going to be alright. "Zahn, even though you are not my son. I would love to protect you from danger as well as Ms. Syrah." Reyna said with her emotions in her throat  Zahn removed his hands from around her neck as he started wiping as his red face was full of tears. He nodded his head no and then looked at her once more. "No! I don't want you to protect me like Ms. Syrah. I want to protect you. I am sorry for pushing your hand away earlier." Zahn said Smiling at his cuteness, Reyna used her now free hands to rub his curly brown hair. "Then I guess I will hold you to your word." Reyna said using her nails to scratch his scalp Closing his eyes, Reyna could see him humming to himself in enjoyment as his little body began to wiggle back and forth.  He must be tired, Reyna thought Looking down at the bread and fruits that he snuck here for her, Reyna felt her heart warm up in affection as her body temperature started to rise. In all my life, Reyna has never had someone bring her food while she was at her worse. "Alright Zahn, go back to your room to sleep." Reyna called out Zahn mumbled in return and she removed her hand away from his head. Zahn eyes immediately opened with its gold color as he made a disappointed face. "I want to sleep here." Reyna shook her head no. "You know that you can't do that. You are needed in your bed chambers. Please go back." Reyna plead Zahn pouted before finally agreeing. "Okay, but just remember that your body will be healed before you know it!" He said before running away towards her bedroom door Watching open it and him waving at her as he closed it with a smile, Reyna felt her sun ray disappear and it brought her sudden complete darkness. Feeling her body temperature drop along with her happy mood, Reyna was now stuck in a room all by myself ... alone. Looking outside the window that was open in the room, she looked to see if there was still light outside but she saw nothing but darkness starting to fill the bedroom as night began to take over the Earth. Scared because she hated the dark, Reyna grabbed the bread and fruits that Zahn grabbed her and began eating them fast. My stomach was craving food more than she thought it usually would.  Wait but how much food do I usually eat on a regular day? Reyna asked herself.  Pulling herself out of her thoughts, she looked down and realized that the bread and fruits were gone. "Wait a second!" Reyna yelled looking around Where the hell is the food? Did someone take the food? Did I drop them?  Confusion filled her at every inch as she still stayed hungry wondering where her food was. Shaking her head, Reyna laid down in the fluffy bed as she stared at the marble ceiling. That connection that her and Zahn had was strange.  It was like, something was telling me to comfort him and stay with him. The urge to have him stay in the bedroom with her was strong, but then again... he was not her son. Closing her eyes, Reyna tried to ignore the strange events. But she couldn't. She couldn't ignore the strange pull...
