Grabbing Pa's hand, we rushed to the Alpha suite to get Ma. I picked up the small suitcase that contained Ma's essentials and the outfit for the baby. Pa swept Ma up in his arms to carry her to the pack hospital. All the while, Ma was protesting that she could walk. Pa just grinned and said no one was going to deny him the pleasure of carrying his mate in his arms. He kissed her temple and her forehead, murmuring how much he loved her and how blessed he was to have her as his mate. Ma's face glowed with love for him.
