Ma and Pa were sitting together on the couch with Jaxon cuddled in Pa's arms. I couldn't help but smile, and I quickly took a picture of them with my phone. The sight of them together like this made my heart melt. This past year has brought so many changes. Two lonely people found each other, mated, got married, and brought this beautiful little boy into the world. Ma, Gavin and I traveled across the ocean and settled into a new life. We certainly have faced a lot of challenges, and I have faced heartbreak and betrayal from those I thought were my family and my friend. But in all honesty, looking at the three people on that couch, I knew I wouldn't trade this moment for anything.
