CHAPTER 1
Seven o'clock in the morning, Manila
Their month-long honeymoon...
“Hmm. Good morning sweetheart!” Alik sniffed the neck of the mother of his son. Her scent, a combination of lavender and vanilla, which belonged only to her, drives him crazy every time.
“Good morning, sweetheart” without opening her eyes, Elisha moved closer to him, drawing heat and comfort from his broad and strong chest. She allowed herself to be held by him; Alik--her safety and strength. Her husband.
“I love you,” Alik uttered in his deep sexy voice. He couldn’t fathom how much he loved the woman by his side. The only woman that he surrendered to and would surrender everything for the rest of his life. His Elisha, his wife.
With what she heard, she hugged him back. She gently touched his bare chest and let her tender hands move smoothly from his chest to his shoulder and eventually crossed at the back of his neck. Her hands combed the small hair tenderly on his nape.
“Until when will you love me? Will you never get tired of me?” She uttered it like a spoiled child, and then she pouted her cherry red lips. She loved it every time Alik would tell her how much he loved her.
Alik made a half-suppressed laugh, displaying his snowy white teeth and dimples. He touched her chin and made her look up, interlocking his brown eyes and her blue eyes, and then said...
“I will love you until the next morning comes, and the next and the next after that, until I run out mornings to love you,” he said with seriousness written on his face.
Elisha giggled, deeply touched by what he said. She didn’t know how Alik managed to whisper sugary words every morning. His endearing words melted her heart each time.
Alik's lips went down to her cheeks and gilded towards her ears. Then he kissed her earlobes.
Elisha shivered lightly, and her tender muscles contracted in his touch.
Alik heard her release a deep breath which ignited his passion. Every day of his life, he would make sure she wouldn’t doubt his love for her.
It has been their kind of morning from the time they got married. Every morning was blissful and spent pledging their love for each other. Murmuring words touched their souls, warmed their hearts, and heated their flesh.
After the exchange of endearing words, their bodies unite. Touching intimately, kissing hungrily, and uniting their most sensitive flesh until they became breathless as they reached their shared heaven.
From the time they woke up, they spent one full hour proving how they cherished each other. Their bodies entwined and in deep heated passion before they even started the day...every day so perfectly started.
After their morning intimate activity, they took their shower together and dressed up for the day while teasing and exchanging sugared words.
Suddenly...
A soft knock sounded on their door.
“Is it our morning intruder?” Elisha asked while she looked at the back of Alik as he walked towards the door.
“Who else would it be?” He opened the door and saw their intruder. He gently scooped him up in his arms and kissed the pinkish cheeks of their little bundle of joy.
“Daddy!” Elikhan excitedly kissed Alik back on his cheek and snuggled his tender body on his father's shoulders.
Alik hugged the little boy tightly. His tender three-year-old body was too soft against his firm arms. He was careful not to crush his soft body when he felt the overwhelming urge to squeeze him.
Elikhan looked so fresh. His image took all the merits of his parents' stunning qualities. Blue eyes from his mother and chiseled face, brows, and hair color from his father. He’s an adorable little boy.
Alik took him to his mother’s waiting arms.
“Elik!” Elisha called him Elik, a combination of her name and Alik’s. She kissed her son’s pinkish face and lips and squeezed him tenderly.
“Mommy, I love you!” His soft voice echoed in the quiet room. A soft melodious sound resonated with happiness.
“I love you more,” Elisha muttered, deeply enchanted with their little one.
Alik watched his wife and son exchange playful kisses with each other. He chuckled and murmured softly while he embraced both of them.
“Don’t you think it’s about time for Elik to have a baby sister?”
Alik uttered while he caressed the delicate skin of his wife and son.
Elisha slowly shook her head and looked pleadingly at Alik. Then she said...
“Oh! I want us to enjoy him for the next two years at least. Oh please, Alik, don’t get me pregnant.”
Alik laughed, understanding what his wife meant.
“Of course, sweetheart! Whenever you are ready,” Alik agreed with her instantly.
It was easy for him to get her pregnant given their intimate days and nights. However, Alik was aware that his wife's role would take so much of her strength and time. Being pregnant would slow down her capacity to perform her task for the kingdom. The Queen would be burdened with so many tasks for the coming years.
“Thanks for understanding me, Alik!” Elisha giggled.
Alik nodded and remarked...
“Besides, you have many activities for the year. You also need to ordain little Elik here as the prince of Giorginia and the heir to the throne. Also, we have to make sure that Emanuel (her brother) gets the right treatment. As for me, I have to look at the finances and development of the kingdom and oversee the estate I purchased for us. It’s going to be a hectic and busy year. Getting pregnant will not be advisable..” Alik remarked objectively. He fully understood the responsibilities that landed on their shoulders. It wasn't easy to be a Queen and a consort.
“Oh yes! Our little Elik here is the Prince! The next king!” she tickled Elik, and he giggled. The happy child didn’t understand the role he would play in the future --the weight that his shoulders would carry.
“Let’s make Giorginia a model kingdom. Small yet rich and progressive!” Alik mumbled dreamily. It was not going to be easy considering the laid-back status of the Kingdom currently, but he would like to try.
Alik, a successful businessman, had decided to act as his wife’s support, her strength from the background. He never wanted to steal the limelight from her. He will silently help her. His business acumen was exceptional. Turning Giorginia into a progressive Kingdom was no sweat to him, but it was his wife's time to shine as the Queen. He would let Elisha rule her kingdom the best way she could. He would act as her mere consort and her support, with no intention of meddling in any way unless she sought his help.
The billionaire and his Queen, or the other way around...the Queen and her billionaire husband.
Alik sniggered while pondering on his new role. For once, he would not be the star of the show. After being hailed as the brilliant commercial center management magnate for years, his role will be reduced to the Queen's consort. It was not an issue for him. He would gladly give up his title to his Queen.
Most men would be proud to be a Queen consort. It was a distinguished title, after all. However, Alik’s net worth was so much more than the kingdom itself. How could he be content with such a role? So many people doubted if he could be content with such a trivial role.
For Alik, he was determined to stay out of the limelight. He would gladly be his wife's strength away from the scrutinizing glances of everyone.
Aside from Elisha and his family, no one knew how much he was willing to give up so that he could keep his wife by his side. Such selflessness was something hard to believe.
No real man would succumb to anything for the sake of standing by the side of the woman he truly loves. In Alik’s case, it wasn’t simply standing by her side, BUT standing at her back. The crown and the throne in front-- always the first, while her family and everything else come second in her list of priorities.
However, Alik was no ordinary man. Fame, fortune, and power...he has it all, but he has chosen to have his wife his priority. He was the one who had chosen her.
Their honeymoon in Manila will be over in a few days. Then they would assume the responsibility vested by the THRONE.
Elisha would resume her role as the QUEEN and Alik as the GRAND DUKE and the Financial & Development Head of the kingdom.
Two people, two lives, two hearts, two important and distinguished roles...
What could go wrong?
