I walk downstairs and my stomach is a knot of nerves. I don’t know why in the back of my mind I thought if I ignored him long enough, he would get tired of me and leave me alone. Stupid of me to think, given I’m married to him. I release a long breath and unlock the door, and I’m met with the six-foot-tall son of a devil dressed in a casual black t-shirt and chino pants looking pissed as hell. I look up to him and do the one thing that comes to my mind, which is stupid but it is my first response. I smile nervously. “Hey.” “Why did you think I wouldn’t know you wouldn’t come here?” He asks and there is still anger in his tone. Here comes yet another fight. I don’t think I want to deal with one of those right now though. “I didn’t think that Tobias, I just wanted to be away from you,”
