Chapter 3

2007 Words
"Oh nay nay!" I yelled, running towards him "this is a no smoking apartment!" He grinned, "But I deal weed, I kind of have to smoke everywhere I go." I held up a hand, "that's false." Sebastian reminded me of my old friend Afanas, who was Sinister’s best friend and the second in command of the Russian Mafia. He was either snorting coke, or smoking weed. Either way, every time I looked at him, he was always doing drugs. He let out an annoyed sigh, shoving the blunt into his backpack. "Hey" I pointed at his bag "backpack boy, why do you always carry that around?" He gripped the straps to his bag, "I'm a dealer, darlin'. I always have a stash with me." I glanced at Rachel, and she shrugged at me. "You're lame." I muttered, walking into my bedroom, and pulling on a tank top and shorts. I glanced at my wooden dresser, on the top lay my wedding ring. Even though Sinister told me we'd never see each other again, I kept the ring...it gave me hope. Hope was the only thing stronger than fear. The hope I had for Sinister coming back to me, outweighed the fear of never seeing him again. I walked out of my bedroom, watching in amusement as Rachel was digging through Sebastian’s backpack. "Where'd he go?" I grinned. "Bathroom, quick we don't have much time. Let's get us some weed." I sat down beside her, and froze as she pulled out a gun from his bag. Well, he was in a gang, obviously he's going to have guns. But Rachel didn't know he used to be in a gang. "Um.." I glanced at her surprised face "Rach, he's a dealer. Of course he's going to have a gun, it's just a precaution." Her green eyes were still wide as she held the heavy gun, "I've never actually held one before." I have, I was a mob bosses wife. I could kick ass, shoot a gun, and smoke weed like there's no tomorrow. I grabbed the gun from her, sliding it back into his bag and zipping it away, "don't bring it up. He'll get pissed if he finds out you went through his shit." Just then, Sebastian walked out of the bathroom. "Well" he grinned at us "since Calla set our lunch on fire, how about we go out for some food?" Rachel nodded enthusiastically, she loved food just as much as I did. We really were long lost twins. "PIZZAAA!" Rachel shrieked, running towards the door, Sebastian and I following behind. "Are you still in the Bratva gang?" I asked him quietly as we walked down the hall. His face morphed into shock, "What? No." "Then why do you carry a firearm, blondie? Just tell me if you're still in the gang." Rachel ran out the front door of the apartment. I swear to god if she drives my car I will shove her down a flight of stairs. "Three things" He said quietly "One, don't go through my backpack. Two, I carry a gun because I made a lot of enemies when I was in the gang I'm just being safe. And three..." he stopped at the front door, "don't ask questions you don't want the answers to." I stayed quiet, walking out into the warmth of the June air. Rachel was waiting patiently outside my car. The car Sinister had left for me. The Audi R8 we had driven in together when we first met. I hopped in, revving the engine before we took off towards Ricci's pizzeria, they had the FUCKIN BEST barbecue chicken pizza I have ever had. The car ride consisted of no talking, Rachel took over the AUX and began blasting "Gods Plan" by Drake. I was thinking about what Sebastian had said to me, he told me not to ask questions I didn't want the answers to, and that scared me. It scared me to think that there was something else going on that I didn't know about. But I didn't press, because he was right. I didn't want to hear the answers. I parked the car like a mothafuckin boss, and we made our way to the restaurant entrance. It was a typical pizza place, lot's of uncleaned tables, a full bar, and borderline mediocre customer service. Our waitress looked to be in her twenties, wearing a tight black shirt with the establishments logo printed on it. She had short red hair, her eyes rimmed with glittery eye shadow. "Hi there, table for three?" She asked brightly, her eyes drifting to Sebastian. Her name tag read Emily, okay good she wasn't a stripper. Her name wasn't Candy, Boner Garage, or Tinkerbelle. We sat at a booth, Emily handed us menus, but I didn't miss the way her eyes kept glancing at Sebastian. As soon as she left I leaned over the table, "You, seabass, our waitress was eyeing you like a fat kid eyes Hershey's chocolate." He looked up from his menu, glancing back at Emily before shrugging, "I don't really go for red heads." Neither do I, my psychotic ex boyfriend was a red head. Rachel let out a small giggle, tapping away at her phone like a kid. "Who are you texting?" I asked, my hands toying with the menu. Her pale skin blushed crimson, "Jack..." I smirked, "You're texting Jack attack? The one from the party?" She nodded enthusiastically, sending another text before she shut off her phone. "Did he give you that kiss?" I asked. Her face turned a deep red, "something like that." Oh my god, he totally ate her p***y. That man was like Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol. HE GET'S SO MUCH p***y. Sebastian let out a laugh, trying to cover it up with a series of bullshit coughs. Rachel glared at him, pulling out her purse, and chucking a bottle of Advil at him. "Here b***h" she muttered "choke on some Advil, it'll help with your cough, you son of Satan." He chuckled, catching the bottle before it hit his face and setting it down on the table. Emily came back and took our orders, her eyes continuously flickering back to Sebastian's bored looking face, she looked slightly disappointing as she walked away. "Hey, Seabass, E-Harmony called, said your account has been blocked. You'll never get a girl by posting d**k pics as your profile picture. Why don't you just go talk to her?" I asked, taking a sip of my water. He shrugged, "she’s not my type?" "Well" Rachel chirped "you'd better find your type soon. Before you know it, you'll wake up saggy and gross and realize that being a 53-year old drug dealer is retarded. Trust me, I know your future." He grinned, shaking his head at her. Rachel looked between the two of us, "So how do you guys know each other? Last weekend you said you guys knew each other, It's ironic as f**k that two people from Russia find each other in Miami." Ironic is right. But now that I think of it, its incredible suspicious. How is it, that a man I knew from Russia, somehow finds me at a college party on the beaches of Miami? Sebastian shrugged, "I call it fate, darlin'." I said nothing. I don't know why I hadn't found it suspicious at first, but it definitely is. Sebastian was in the Bratva gang with my brother, and ex boyfriend. After they had taken me away from Sinister, he was the only person that was ever nice to me, he helped me escape, and I owed him my life. But its definitely weird that I'd run into him months after being rescued. I glanced around the restaurant, taking in the scene of friends and family, laughing and enjoying each others presences, when I saw a man. He was a big guy, muscular as f**k, dressed in all black. A cellphone was pressed to his ear, he sat completely alone, the food in front of him was untouched as he spoke rapidly into the phone. I watched his lips move and immediately noticed he was speaking Russian. What. The. f**k. "Excuse me, I have to pee." I said to Rachel and Sebastian as I rose from the table. I walked over to the creepy Russian dude, sitting down in the seat across from him. He stopped talking into the phone, and glared at me. "Hi there, I'm Calla, but you probably already knew that. Who're you talking to?" I smiled fakely. He said nothing, but a small amused smile crossed his lips. I sighed, "That's what I thought, can I see your phone for a second?" The large man chuckled lowly as he handed me the sleek black device. I held the phone in my hand, standing up from the table, "I'm keeping your phone, big guy. Bye bye." I walked outside the restaurant, my hands shaking as I pressed the phone to my ear. "Hello?" I asked slowly, glancing at the caller ID to see it had been blocked. There was a low chuckle on the other line, and I recognized it instantly. Sinister. "Tsvetok, I knew you'd figure it out. Smart little girl." (Flower) .I could hear the slight amusement in his voice. I winced at the way he called me flower, it was the name he always used to call me, and it brought back a flash of painful memories. I struggled to find my voice, "If you wanted me out of your life so bad, then why do you have the Hulk following me around?" My voice came out the opposite of how I felt, it was strong and confident. "I'm just making sure you're safe, Calla." The sound of his voice made me want to burst into tears. I took in a breath, "You left me." There was a slight pause, "I never left you, Calla. I will always be here." I bit my lip, trying to keep myself from sobbing, "I hate you." He chuckled, "You don't hate me, love." I felt my heart throbbing against my chest, "I do. I hate you because I have to spend the rest of my life wondering why I wasn't enough." I felt my legs trembling, his voice was pained and sad, and it hurt me a million times more than it will ever hurt him. "I'm trying to keep you safe, flower. Please understand that." I shook my head, wiping a tear from my eyes, "tell your goons to stay away from me, because the next time I see one, I'll kill him." He chuckled again, his voice was husky, "Stay safe, Calla." The line went dead, and so did my heart. *** CHAPTER 4 Fun Fact: did you know that drinking coffee before s*x will make your orgasms 50x more intense. ** After my extremely emotional phone call with Sinister, I felt that I needed to give my mind a break. "Rach we're going to a club." I said to Rachel, who had been watching American Horror Story for the past 6 hours. "yes, yes, yes, YES!" She hopped up from the couch, throwing her hands in the air. Her braids flying everywhere as she danced. I forced a smile,. What club? When? With who? And where?" A big smile was plastered on her face. "Amnesia, in an hour, you and I, and it's the club at Miami beach." I laughed to see her face lighting up as I answered each question. Amnesia was a nightclub owned by the Russian Mafia, if Sinister wanted me to 'stay safe' then I was about to act as reckless as possible in his nightclub. "Is Sebastian coming?" She grinned "I want the marijuana." I shrugged, "sure he can come." "f**k YES!! Lemme call Sebastian!!" She gave me a bear hug, "I'll go slutify myself!!!" She sprinted into her room, I laughed hearing the sound of the shower turn on as she began singing "The Circle of Life."
