No guilt

I didn't know what to say to my face. I just knew that my heart had been destroyed from one second to the next.

"Tessa... This isn't what it looks like!" Ethan tried to explain.

But, how can it not be what it looks like? if it wasn't that... What was it?

"Ethan? you... you slept with Lexa?" Luna's voice was suddenly heard.

"Mother... Please listen to me... I can explain" exclaimed Ethan as he stood up and walked towards me calmly "Tessa... I'm sorry... I was distracted... I... I couldn't think about what I was doing... but, don't worry about that"

In my ear my surprised look fell on him. My heart is completely broken but... he was telling me not to worry about it... He spoke so calmly, as if there was no guilt at all for having deceived me like that.

"...Tessa, please don't be mad at Ethan... we were just distracted at the time. But it's not our fault we love each other?" Lexa's voice sounded like a dagger in my heart.

"Do you love each other?" I said as I stared at her pitiful face and her reddened eyes. "You love her?" I said looking up at Ethan.

Ethan looked up and looked at Lexa, who was crying silently "Tessa, please... try to understand us. it's true... I love her and what happened was our wish, but you..."
