After Blake’s reveal, he stormed out unexpectedly. The week was now gone, and Roxy was expecting her mom home today. Since she had spent the last several days alone, she was looking forward to the company. With it now after seven in the evening, she decided to give her mom a call to check to see when she would be home. Roxy wanted to surprise her mom with a welcome home dinner.

“Hello, darling. I have missed hearing your sweet voice.”
“I have missed you too, mom. What time will you be home?”
“I am sorry to do this, but I will not be home until next weekend. Things hit a dead end here, and it has caused our visit to run over. I hope you are not too upset with me.”
“No, of course not. I understand. Just be safe.”
