I stood there, watching the car slowly drive away, feeling the cigarette in my mouth suddenly taste like nothing.
They did it on purpose.
I knew it clearly, yet I still couldn't suppress the restlessness in my heart.
When Jeffrey pulled up to the spot I had mentioned, he saw me from afar, standing by the car with my head down, puffing on a cigarette.
Jeffrey thought I was getting impatient, so he quickly pulled over, got out of the car, and walked over to me. "Alpha Marsh, I've already contacted the towing company. They should be here soon."
Hearing Jeffrey's words, I looked up at him and extinguished the cigarette in my hand. "Give me the car keys."
