9 Matthew is Wayne’s son

"I don't plan to get married for the time being," After thinking for a while, Wayne answered coldly.
Hearing his answer, the hope that Ada had just gathered died down. She then said, "It's getting late. I should leave now."
Later, Ada walked out of the villa and entered a car unhappily. As soon as she fastened her seat belt, Ada ordered, “Drive.”
After the car left the high-end villa complex, the driver said, “Miss, everything went as planned until the new hotel manager ruined it.”
“It’s okay,” Ada put on a vicious smile and said, “It would be worse if the boy was killed. It’s better this way. Wayne would be more worried and take marrying me more seriously in this way.”
“Then the kid…”
“Don’t do anything to him for now. There will be other opportunities,” Ada said dismissively as she was looking at her newly manicured nails. Then she uttered, “Tell Gabe that I’ll go visit Matthew these days. Prepare some goodies that kids like for me.”
“Yes, Miss.”
***In the hospital, Anna was awakened by the intense pain when she moved her arm.
“Mommy, you’re awake!” Tammy held her uninjured arm with her eyes reddened, exclaiming,“Mommy, you really scared me!”
Anna paused and then recalled that she was injured after saving Matthew. Afterwards, she was taken to the hospital. But she didn’t know how come her daughter was there.
“Tammy, how did you get here? Did I fall asleep for a long time?”
“You tell me!” Wiping her tears, Tammy said a bit sobbingly, “I called you earlier but your assistant answered it. She said you were at the hospital. I was so worried! So, I asked her to pick me up from kindergarten and drive me to the hospital to see you.”
Hearing Tammy’s words, Anna felt both touched and guilty. She apologized, “I’m sorry that I made you worry, honey.”
“You taught me to take care of myself before taking care of others. What if you were hit in the head?” Tammy pouted, “I’m still depending on you to raise me. If you die, my life will be miserable.”
Anna was amused by what Tammy said and retorted, “Is that what you’re worried about?”
“Of course!” Tammy folded her arms and said, “Where else can you find a cute and smart daughter like me?”
“Okay, okay, you’re my precious girl.” Anna smiled. Then someone knocked on the door.
“Come in.” Anna looked towards the door and replied.
“Ms. Gabriel,” A middle-aged man entered with two large bags of health supplements. It was the butler who took care of Matthew.
“My master ordered me to bring you these health supplements. You have a fracture and these supplements are good for bone regeneration. Also, my master sends his gratitude. He sent Matthew home so he could not wait for you to wake up. Please accept his apologies.”
“Oh, thanks,” Anna said. She looked at the bags and saw that there were lots of expensive health supplements that amounted to thousands of dollars.
“These are just a small token of appreciation. Master also said that since you’re injured, you don’t need to go to work until you’ve fully recovered. You will still be paid during this period.”
Hearing that, Anna remarked, “I don’t need to work?” Who’s your master? How did he manage to arrange for my sick leave?
With many questions in her head, Anna asked, “Could you tell me who your master is?”
“Don’t you know who my master is?” The butler asked in surprise.
Anna was suddenly puzzled by his reaction and asked, “Should I?”
“Our master is Mr. Wright, the CEO of the Carousel Group,” The butler replied.
Anna frowned on hearing this. “So Matthew is Wayne’s… er hem… Mr. Wright’s son?”
“Yes. Since you saved his son, Mr. Wright decided to give you some days off as part of the compensation. Do let me know if you need anything.”
What?! Matthew is Wayne’s son?! Wow! I didn’t see it coming. Wayne has it all. It’s such a pity that Matthew can’t speak. At the thought, Anna began to feel sorry for Wayne.
Just when Anna was feeling sorry for Wayne, Tammy had a totally different idea. Resting her chin on her palms, Tammy looked at the valuable gifts. She reasoned, Mommy’s boss must be very rich and powerful. Will he be a good choice for Mommy? Oh, what is his name? Is it Wayne? I’d better look into Mommy’s boss when I get home.
The following days, Anna had been staying in the hospital. Meanwhile, Wayne never visited Anna during her stay. He seemed to be occupied with his work. And Anna didn’t mind it as she would feel more comfortable healing on her own.
After her discharge, Anna realized she could have a few more days off. As she always wanted to spend more time with Tammy but didn’t have the chance to do so, Anna decided to spend the rest of the sick leave with Tammy. Anna was in a better mood, and she found that Wayne was actually not as cold and aloof as he looked to be.

In the afternoon, Anna was having a nap when Tammy went to her room with the iPad. She used Siri to search the name, “Wayne.”
Instantly, several results popped up on the screen, and Tammy chose the most handsome man. She used the reading function and gasped when she heard his accomplishments.
Wow, mommy’s boss is so handsome! And he’s so wealthy and powerful! Yes! He’s the best choice for Mommy! Tammy remarked to herself. Hang on! I met this man before. But where did I meet him?
Right! The Airport! I met him at the airport earlier. And he gave me a box of chocolate! He looks like a nice guy, Tammy grinned and made a decision inwardly as she stared at Wayne’s company address.
"Mommy! I am going out!" After packing, Tammy said to Anna and walked to the door.
"Where are you going?" Anna poked her head from the kitchen and asked.
"Oh, I am going to the coffee shop you usually take me to. I wanna get some ice cream."
"Don't go out alone. Give me five minutes. I will go with you." Anna stopped her in a loud voice.
"Don't worry, Mommy. I will go find Auntie living next door. Besides, we go there a lot. All the staff there should know me. Relax, Mommy. I am a big girl."
Tammy then walked to the next door under Anna's watch. But when she and the neighbour walked past the corner, she headed in another direction with her backpack after bidding the neighbour goodbye. She wanted to find the super handsome Mr Wayne and asked him if he wanna be her daddy.
